Animus (rapper)
Animus (born August 16, 1987 in Heidelberg ; bourgeois Mousa Amouei , Persian : موسی امویی) is a German rapper of Iranian descent .
biography
Animus grew up as the son of a Persian refugee family in Heidelberg. In 2000 he started rapping his lyrics. He later took part in various competitions. So he won the Curse / Adidas Struggle Remix Contest and he became DJ Kitsunes Unsigned Hype Artist . In addition, Animus was often featured as a feature guest on the sound carriers of other rappers or on samplers. His first mixtape was titled The Ballpoint Pen was released on April 20, 2007. Amir and Tua were represented on it. The sound carrier was named Mixtape of the Month by Juice . Shortly after the CD was released, Animus was signed to Moses P's label 3p. Animus' second mixtape, Der Kugel Schreiber 2 , was published about this . Then the collaboration between Animus and 3p was ended. To bridge the gap between the next Heidelberg release, the mixtape Calm before the Storm was available for free download. In August 2009, the third part of the The Ballpoint Pen series was again made available as a download. Kollegah was represented as a guest among others . In 2010 the Heidelberg rapper drew more attention to himself through various video publications on the Internet. Among other things, the politically oriented song Iran Azadi appeared , which deals with the grievances and the democratically problematic situation in Iran.
On December 10, 2010 the free download mixtape The Voice of the Mute was released . In 2012 the mixtape EGGUS was published digitally. Animus also had guest posts on the albums Behind Blue Eyes and Blue Blood , which were published by Fler. On September 13, 2013, the third sampler of the Masculin label was released under the title Masculin Mixtape Vol. 3 , on which Animus was involved in nine songs, including five solo songs. Several videos have been extracted for the sampler. On August 11, 2013, high heels with Fler and G-Hot appeared and on September 2, a black tank top with Silla . The mixtape took 8th place in the German and Austrian album charts .
On January 8, 2014, Animus announced via Facebook that it had split up with Masculine in an argument. In April 2014 his album "Beastmode" was released on the independent label Made Music. In October 2014 it was announced that Animus will release a new album on the independent label distri in spring 2015.
In 2015 the album Purpur was released , which found little acceptance in the scene. Beastmode II was released in 2016 . In 2017 Beastmode 3 was announced, which was released in early February 2018 via Bozz Musik. In 2019 the rumor arose that Animus was working with Bushido on the fourth part of the " Carlo Cokxxx Nutten " series, which was confirmed by the two joint singles Ronin and City Lights . Thus, after Fler and Baba Saad , Animus joins Bushido's third collaboration partner for a Carlo Cokxxx hooker album. The collaboration is remarkable because Animus Bushido had previously dissed, especially for the release of the album Purpur .
Animus EP Khatarsis was released on May 29, 2020 . There are ten songs on the EP, including one with Bushido .
