Beastmode is the fourth solo album by the German rapper Animus . The publication took place on April 4, 2014.

background

In 2013, Animus entered the German album charts for the first time through the Masculin Mixtape Vol. 3 , a sampler from the Masculin label . On January 24th, 2014, the masculine Mixtape Vol. 4 was released , which entered the chart again. Then Animus separated from Masculine in a dispute, whereupon he signed a contract with the Made Music label. Then he started work on his fourth studio album. Fler, owner of the Masculine label, and Animus said in interviews that the two ultimately broke off contact because Fler wanted to further delay the release of Animus' solo album, as he believed that there was not yet the necessary public interest. In fact, the ranking of the solo album with 93 was significantly worse than that of the masculine label sampler.

Often the listener of the album is motivated to go his own way and not let others dissuade him from it. Animus makes use of battle rap and the subgenre storytelling , among other things . In particular, the songs Bei dir und Bitschen represent more storytelling rap, while I stand my husband can be assigned to battle rap. I stand my husband leans heavily on song 63 by Kaaris . Animus taunts Fler in some songs .

Guest Posts

The album contains guest contributions by the artists Bozza ( Gorilla ), Marq Figuli ( With you and a bit more ) and Colin Johnson ( Monster ). Due to the separation between animus and masculine, the previously expected rappers Fler and Silla did not appear on the album as featureings .

The song Monster was visualized on March 14, 2014. On March 16, 2014, the official snippet for Beastmode was published on aggro.tv . On April 3, 2014 I stand by my husband was released as an HDF video. The song Nobody gets me small was officially released on April 10, 2014 on YouTube.
