Shut up ( HDF for short ) is an online television format that visualizes songs by German-speaking rappers at regular intervals . The show is broadcast on Aggro TV .
history
The first season of the series started in April 2009. The videos were broadcast on Thursdays and Sundays . On March 19, 2010, some of the videos published so far were published on the first CD Shut up . This consisted of a double CD.
The opening of the second season took place on December 24, 2009. In contrast to the first season, some international artists also appeared there.
On June 25, 2010, the second shut-off sampler was released, which in turn was distributed by Groove Attack . The sound carrier again consisted of a double CD, on each of which 13 tracks were represented.
In October 2010 the first video of the third season was released. Shortly before that, a Shut Up 3 Allstars song appeared in which Harris , Said, Manuellsen , Haftbefehl , Silla , Animus , Alpa Gun , Automatikk , Sinan-G , Massiv , Illy Idol, CosCash & CroniK appeared and raped eight lines each. A video was also released for this song, which also marked the beginning of the third season.
In May 2011, parallel to the normal series, the Halt die Fresse Gold season started , in which rappers, whose video contribution for Halt die Fresse achieved over three million views on the video platform YouTube , received an award and were able to contribute another video. As a first contribution, Alpa Gun presented a cover version of Kool Savas ' song Tribut . After that, arrest warrant , Automatikk and Nazar also appeared in the context of Halt die Fresse Gold .
There were quarrels in November 2011 over the planned release of the video by Farid Bang that he recorded for the season. Aggro TV announced not broadcast the sequence and justified the decision by saying the chosen Farid Bang song that mainly against the city of Berlin judge and aggro as the Berlin Hip-Hop - Label feel a responsibility not to send the recording.
Farid Bang described it as unprofessional and indicative of the fact that on Aggro TV people who diss me are given a platform and - if I want to take a stand - I am denied this opportunity . He also described the reasoning as absurd and referred to numerous friends of his, such as Massiv or Bass Sultan Hengzt , who live in Berlin. Farid Bang auctioned the award on the eBay auction portal . As a result, Farid Bang's label German Dream Evangelium canceled the planned aggro week that was supposed to promote the label sampler The Big Branx Theory . Something similar happened to the Düsseldorf rapper Toony , whose contribution to Shut Up was also sorted out because of a diss.
Since the beginning of the fifth season of the HDF series, Aggro TV has been offering a 3D version of the video in addition to the weekly clips.
In January 2013, in addition to the normal series and the Halt-die-Fresse-Gold series, the Halt die Fresse platinum season also started , in which rappers, whose video for Halt die Fresse reached over six million views, received an award and another video can contribute. The first contribution to the series was made by the Offenbach arrest warrant .
concept
In the series - especially German - rap artists present their songs at regular intervals. One-shot videos are always created in which no additional effects are used. In addition, the recording of a single camera is shown. Most of the time the video is highlighted with the audio version of the song, the lips are moved synchronously with it. Only the introduction and possible announcements during pauses in the song or at the end are always added to the video.
