Schwartz (born July 11, 1981 in Cologne , real name Raphael Brinkmann ) is a German rapper , producer , poet and writer . He is under contract with the Berlin underground hip hop label Hirntot Records .

biography

Schwartz grew up in his native city of Cologne; later he studied German and history in Düsseldorf . In 2005 he came into contact with the Berlin rapper Blokkmonsta , who signed him to his label Hirntot Records in 2006. Since the end of 2007, Schwartz has been jointly responsible as an executive co-producer for almost all of the label's recordings.

He works regularly with other underground rap artists, including Frauenarzt , Kaisaschnitt , Manny Marc , MC Basstard , B-Tight , Smoky , GPC , DNP or King Orgasmus . With the latter, he released the collaboration album Torture Cellar of the Zombie Hookers in December 2011 as a joint venture via I Luv Money Records and Hirntot. In addition, Schwartz had features with US rappers like Tim Dog , Kingpin Skinny Pimp, Darkroom Familia or C-9 in his career . In addition, there are features with the grindcore band GUT .

In 2010, Schwartz and other members of Hirntot Records appeared in the independent splatter film Violent Shit 4.0: Karl the Butcher vs Ax by Andreas Schnaas and Timo Rose.

In 2014 the rap crew Ruffiction released the album Ruffnecks , on which Schwartz can be heard playing Wir sind schuld . He can also be heard on the album Frieden , which followed a year later.

In addition to numerous solo and collaborative CDs, he published a volume of poetry in early 2011 with the title In der U-Haft another evening , which was published by Stahl-Verlag in KRASH: Neue Edition and due to the formal contrast to his rap lyrics in Hiphop Scene caused a stir. His cycle of poems "In the blank verse of an emptied corridor" was also published in the poetry magazine Floppy Myriapoda . His second volume of poetry, Vantablack , followed in December 2018, published by Stephan Urbach at Ach Je Verlag . Marcus Staiger wrote about the content of Vantablack : "A settlement with the forlornness of the individual in times of social network superficiality." His third volume of poetry, Skorpionmond , was published in June 2020. In addition to new texts and the eponymous cycle of poems, this book also includes texts by guest authors, including: a. Charlotte Warsen and Marcel Lewandowsky .

In April 2013 he published the first volume of his serial novel point noir , a pulp novel in the tradition of American underground literature. In 2020 the stories When the blue bird went blind and When the blue bird spoke Swahili each appeared as an e-book . The stories are played entirely on Twitter and can be assigned to the social horror genre.

controversy

Like the other acts at Hirntot Records, Schwartz mainly writes splatter texts with clear references to horror films and a conspicuously misogynistic vocabulary. Due to his explicit texts, he had to answer in 2008 together with Blokkmonsta (Björn D.) and Uzi (Thomasz M.). They were accused, among other things, of insulting the Bundestag member Monika Griefahn in the Freetrack Fick the BPJM and threatening them with death. While the other two defendants were sentenced to probation for sedition and violence on the albums Schlachthof and the EP 1 May Steinschlag , Schwartz got away with a fine of 1350 euros.

In 2011 Schwartz had to join forces with Blokkmonsta, the artist Dr. Jekyll and the owner of the Osnabrück online sales company Distributionz will again be held responsible in court, this time because of the album Friss oder dies . The trial ended in an acquittal .

In October 2012, Schwartz's house was again searched. The reason for this was presumably the CD-R from 2011 Son of a Whore Holocaust Chronicles # 1 , which was included in List B of the Federal Testing Office for Media Harmful to Young People and consequently confiscated.
