Splatter text
As splatter text or splatter -Lyrics refers lyrics that describe a person's brutal killing or other "unsavory" issues such as cannibalism , describe. The action is usually described in great detail and medically precise and the morbid topic is varied again and again in many ways.
Splatter texts are mainly found in extreme metal , there especially in the Death Metal and Grindcore , but also in other genres, such as the hip-hop -Subgenre Horrorcore and especially in Psychokore such texts are processed. Some bands have quasi specialized in this topic. Due to the texts, many albums are indexed by national censorship authorities - in Germany, for example, the Federal Testing Office for Media Harmful to Young People.
Some popular bands that make heavy use of splatter lyrics are Cannibal Corpse and Eisregen . But the rapper Kaisa and the hip-hop label Hirntot Records also specialize in splatter texts.
