Uzi (rapper)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Uzi (born August 7, 1985 in Toruń , Poland ; actually Tomasz Michaelis ) is a German - Polish rapper. He is co-founder and owner of the record company Hirntot Records , which specializes in hard rap in the style of horrorcore , which the artists themselves refer to as psychokore .

Life

He was born in Toruń in 1985 and lives in the Tempelhof district of Berlin . He attended the Eckener-Gymnasium and studied computer science at the Free University of Berlin . He successfully completed his studies in summer 2015.

In 2002 Uzi was active with Big OD and Sady K on the label "DC Records". He founded his first own label "Blutbad Records" in 2003 together with BMOne. Since the label only existed for a short time, there were no publications. In 2004 he founded the label "Bloodsport Records" together with R. Streller, pseudonym MC Ron, today Murda Ron . The label is still active today and Streller continues to run it alone. His first and so far only solo album, the CD-R Amoklauf , then still under the stage name Uzi One, was released there .

In 2005 Uzi founded the label Hirntot Records together with Blokkmonsta and then left Bloodsport Records. Among other things, the two released the EP May 1 EP: Steinschlag and, together with the rapper Schwartz, the free download song Fick die BPJM , which led to an advertisement by the Federal Testing Office for Media Harmful to Young People (BPjM). Because of this, as well as because of the track Meine AK , the house of the three rappers responsible was searched in 2007. During the search of Uzi’s premises, u. a. a computer, an external hard drive, as well as some brain-dead CDs and home-made blanks were confiscated. Blokkmonsta and Uzi were convicted of sedition , depictions of violence, insulting, threatening, disturbing the public peace, and publicly inciting criminal offenses. The result was community hours, an anti-aggression course and a two-year suspended sentence .

Because of the guilty verdict and personal matters, Uzi initially withdrew a little.

Uzi has only released two albums alone so far. Amoklauf appeared in the second edition in 2005 on Hirntot Records and was indexed by the BPjM in April 2010 and confiscated nationwide on September 21, 2010 by order of the Berlin-Tiergarten District Court. In 2015, after 10 years, his second solo album came out of the institution . Numerous publications were created in collaboration with other artists. He is also featured on various albums from the brain dead environment and the Berlin underground rappers Frauenarzt and Manny Marc .
