King Khalil (born October 26, 1990 as Kalil Aubeidy, Arabic خليل أوبيدي Chalil Aubeidī ) is a German rapper .

Life

His parents are Mardelli from Lebanon and came to Germany as war refugees . After staying in a refugee home , the family moved to Berlin-Kreuzberg . At the beginning of the 2000s he discovered the street rap of German characteristics, especially by Bushido , Sido and Kool Savas . In a recording studio he began to map out his first songs himself.

In 2012 his first EP Endzeit was released , on which he released the song Großstadtschakale together with Celo & Abdi . The video for the track received over 1.5 million views on YouTube . In the same year his contribution to the series Halt die Fresse from Aggro.TV appeared . Another article will follow in 2013. In 2014, the video City Jackals 2 appeared alongside Olexesh and Massiv .

In 2015 he started a cooperation with Capital Bra , the two of them formed Team Kuku, a cooperation that also functions as a record company. King Khalil is a guest on Capital Bras' albums Kuku Bra (2016) and Makarov Complex (2017). He entered the charts for the first time together with Capital Bra with the single two-digit prison sentences from the album Blyat (2017). In March 2018 King Khalil's debut album Kuku Effekt was released via Team Kuku (Sony Music) , which reached number 11 in the German charts. On the album, among others, Prinz Pi , Kool Savas and Massiv are represented with a feature .

In the run-up to Capital Bra's album Berlin Lives , Capital Bra split from Team Kuku, although Berlin Lives continues to appear there. Afterwards the two Capital Bra tracks Kennzeichen B-TK and Meine Welt , the last collaboration with King Khalil, also hit the German charts.
