Olexesh (born February 25, 1988 in Kiev , Ukrainian SSR as Ukrainian Олексій Косарев Oleksij Kossarew ) is a German rapper of Ukrainian and Belarusian descent from Darmstadt-Kranichstein . He is under contract with the Frankfurt label 385idéal .
Life
Olexesh spent the first six years of his life in Kiev . Olexesh's father is Belarusian and his mother is Ukrainian. His father immigrated to the United States when Olexesh was two years old. Olexesh came to Germany with his mother at the age of six . At first he lived in Kelkheim (Taunus) . They later moved to Darmstadt- Kranichstein , where Olexesh spent most of his youth. He attended a special school and discovered a love for rap music. So he began to publish self-made music videos on YouTube . The first to appear is Super 6 .
The Frankfurt rapper Celo of rap - duo Celo & Abdi became aware of Olexesh. After he signed a contract with her label 385ideal , he finished his first mixtape Authentic Athletic , which was released on December 2, 2012 as a free download on the Internet. It includes almost 30 tracks, which he raps over mostly instrumentals from West Coast hip-hop . A short time later, Olexesh became known to a broader mass after he was heard on the deluxe edition of the album Blockplatin des Rapers Haftbefehl , and collaborated with Mosh36 on his mixtape BZ . An appearance in the German rap online television format Halt die Fresse also contributed to over 200,000 downloads of the Authentic Athletic mixtape (as of 2012). He was also allowed to accompany Celo & Abdi on their tour to the album Hinterhofjargon .
On March 7th, 2014 Olexesh released his first studio album Nu eta da (German: Here it is ) with guest contributions from Gzuz , Fard , Eko Fresh , Karate Andi and the label bosses Celo & Abdi. The track Purple Haze in particular became a hit in the scene. His second studio album Masta followed on March 27, 2015 . Rappers like Sido , Veysel , Hanybal, Blvck Beatz, Celo & Abdi are represented with features.
On September 25, 2015, he released his second mixtape Street Cocktail . In addition to his classic rap style, he also presents tracks in the G-Funk style on this mixtape .
The third studio album Makadam was released on October 21, 2016 . In the course of this, the singles Weyauu and Born in the Big City were decoupled. In addition to his label colleagues, Xatar , Haftbefehl and Gzuz are represented on the album .
His album Rolexesh was released on March 2, 2018 and reached first place in the German album charts. On July 6, 2018, the rapper released a joint song with pop singer Vanessa Mai . The title Wir 2 always 1 thus deliberately broke through the boundaries between the different musical genres for the first time.
Music genre
Musically, Olexesh represents hard street rap. His rap style is aggressively choppy. The themes of his songs are street life in Darmstadt-Kranichstein, poverty, crime, drug consumption, gambling addiction and prostitution . In addition to West Coast hip-hop and the associated G-funk , a second source of inspiration is French rap .
