Fard (born June 16, 1984 in Isfahan , Iran ; real name: Farhad Nazarinejad , Persian : فرهاد نظرینژاد) is a German - Iranian rapper from Gladbeck ( Ruhr area ).

biography

At the age of ten, hip-hop culture caught Fard's interest. He started rapping and over time made a name for himself in the region. He was represented on the 1 on 1 Freestyle Battle DVD and on some features at Ercandize , Snaga or Pillath. The first release followed in 2006, the mixtape Blood, Sweat, Tears and Triumphs distributed by Rough Trade . A year later, Fard attracted attention across Germany when he defeated rapper Bendt, who was under contract with the Berlin record label Sektenmuzik , at the battle rap event Feuer über Deutschland 2 . In this battle Fard also mentioned their label co-founder Sido negatively, which led to a few swipes on both sides. Fard's second solo work was released on May 9, 2008 under the title Omertà . The name stood for the Italian mafia's vow of silence. Videos were filmed to show some respect , Rashid & Jamal , In dein G Sicht , 60 Terrorbars 3 and request concert . The track Kingshit is a collaboration between Fard and Snaga .

The album Talion (lat. Retribution) was released a year later with Snaga . Videos were filmed about I don't forget , hand on heart , longing for more , your secret , Good Morning Vietnam and We Are a Power .

On November 26, 2010, Fard released his debut album Alter Ego (lat. Other me). It featured Snaga, Kollegah , Summer Cem and Farid Bang with guest contributions . Videos for Intro , Peter Pan , The Boy Without a Heart , Help Yourself , On the Way , Groundhog and Let Them Talk were published in advance . The album reached number 66 in the German album charts and even number 56 in Switzerland.

On November 4, 2011 he released his next album Invictus (lat. Undefeated). The album reached number 11 in Germany. Videos were shot on Intro , His Story , F. Nazizi / Rock N Roll , Reich und Schön , Endlich Helden , Talion 45 , Falsches Spiel , 60 Terrorbars Las Vegas and Your Kiss . Guest contributions by Summer Cem and Farid Bang are available on the Premium Edition.

On February 22, 2013, Fard released his third solo album Bellum et Pax (Latin for war and peace). Zu Schwarz (Intro) , Madar , Listen well , Ruhrpott Elite , In seine Blut , Big Dreams Gangster , Hakuna Matata , Zu Spät (I Remember When) , Lauf & Lauf , God's work and the devil's contribution , 60 Terrorbars Miami Edition , Rap & Me and Like This videos were filmed. Fard reached number 2 in the German album charts as the best newcomer. With Bellum et Pax he achieved the best chart position of his career. The album was also successful in neighboring German-speaking countries. Fard reached 14th place in Austria and 7th in Switzerland. The track In his blood is the continuation of the track Rashid & Jamal , on which Fard addresses the stories and the dismissal of Rashid.

On May 23, 2014, the second album together with Snaga, entitled Talion 2, followed . Videos were shot for Contraband (Intro) , Astaghfirullah , Stumme Zeugen , Tag & Nacht , Carpe Diem , Mitternacht , Kalashnikov and Made in Germany . Talion 2 reached number 4 on the German album charts.

For October 9th, 2015 Fard announced his fourth solo album Ego (Latin for me), in which the rap duo Mobb Deep is also involved. The videos Traumfängerphase / Opener , Nazizi , Rohdiamant / Huckleberryfinnphase and Sehnsucht were published in advance .

On October 7th, 2016, his fifth solo album was released, Bei Fame Hörsame auf Freund.

His sixth solo album Alter Ego 2 was released on March 2, 2018.

reception

The song "Contraband" recorded together with Snaga was criticized as anti-Semitic . The song begins with the exclamation "Pro Mujahideen, pro Palestine". The rappers then “directed their hatred [...] against the 'politics from Tel Aviv '” and used “classic anti-Semitic analogies such as the criticism of bank interest rates or conspiracy-theoretical associations with the ' Bilderbergers '”. The whole thing is also "underlined and illustrated by a paramilitant aesthetic - for 'freedom' with clubs, torches, kufyia and machine guns".

Others

Fard recorded tracks with English-speaking artists, for example a freetrack called Still Hatin with the US rapper Redman in 2012 , for which a video was also released. On Fard's third solo album Bellum et Pax , which was released a year later, there is another Redman feature called Like This . The song Too Late / I Remember When is a collaboration of Fard and singer Bobby V . Videos have also been released for both tracks. For his fourth solo album Ego , he recorded the song Final Cut with Mobb Deep , for which a video was also released.

Fard is the label manager of "Life is Pain" (PA Sports label).
