Ardian Bujupi
Ardian Bujupi (* 27. April 1991 in Pristina , SFR Yugoslavia ) is a German R & B - and Urban - singer Kosovo Albanian descent. He became known for his participation in the talent show Deutschland sucht den Superstar in 2011. Since then he has published numerous songs in German , English and Albanian .
Private life
Ardian Bujupi was born on April 27, 1991 in Pristina, SFR Yugoslavia (today Pristina, Kosovo ) to Kosovar -Albanian parents. His father is an engineer and interpreter , his mother worked as a childminder . In 1992/1993 he came to Germany with his family. Bujupi has two sisters and lived with his parents in Heidelberg .
Bujupi learned to play drums and guitar at the age of ten . He also sang in a Heidelberg school choir. His musical role models are Jason Derulo , Chris Brown and Tinie Tempah . Even before his participation in Germany, the superstar was looking for composed and produced his own songs in his small home studio.

In 2011 Bujupi took part in Deutschland sucht den Superstar and was eliminated in the semifinals. Bujupi was able to convince Dieter Bohlen with a cover version of Und Wenn ein Lied (Original: Söhne Mannheims ) during the casting . At the recall in the Maldives he sang the German version of the song Circle of Life (Original: Elton John ).

Career to Germany is looking for the superstar
Due to the follow-up contract with RTL , Ardian Bujupi was not allowed to publish his own songs or sign a record deal until August 2011 . Bujupi then signed with Mannheim-based indie label FirstLoveMusic, Famefabrik and GrooveAttack .
Bujupi's debut single This Is My Time was released on November 11, 2011. The single was composed and produced by Rocko. In addition to the original version, the single also contains a club mix, an instrumental version and the video edit. The single entered the German charts at number 40, 44 in the Swiss and 69 in the Austrian single charts. Bujupi presented the song on November 30, 2011 at The Dome 60 .
Ardian Bujupi's debut album To the Top was released on December 9, 2011. Luis Baltes wrote songs for the album. The album was produced by Unik, Hitimpulse, Kolja Dominiak, Fonty, Sebastian Henzl and Bujupi. Bujupi was a participant in the fifth season of Let's Dance , which started on March 14, 2012. His dance partner was Katja Kalugina . The two were eliminated in the fifth episode and took 8th place. On August 3, 2012, his third single, I'm Feeling Good , was released, which was produced by Fonty. The music video for the single, shot in Turkey, was released two weeks in advance. On November 13, 2012, the download single Make You Mine , which was produced by Andy B. Jones, was released. The music video for the single, which was mostly shot in London, was released on November 23rd.
Bujupi took part in the Festivali i Këngës , an Albanian music show, which also serves as the preliminary decision of the Eurovision Song Contest , on December 20 (semifinals) and December 22, 2012 (finals) with the song I çmëndur për ty and reached among 17 participants the 11th place.
On March 15th, Bujupi's download single Penthouse was released in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, this time with DJ Dalool, a DJ from Kosovo. The single was available worldwide from March 18th. The accompanying video was shot in Albania's capital Tirana and premiered on March 16 on YouTube and on March 24 on VIVA on "VIVA Neu". The video clip had over 300,000 video views in 48 hours.
On May 31, 2013, the single Want U Now was released , which he recorded together with British singer and rapper Tony T , known as the former RIO front man. The song was also produced by DJ Dalool and was able to work its way up to the iTunes Top 100. The accompanying music video was shot in Kosovo. On March 1, 2014, the song All Night , which was recorded with the Albanian rapper LINDVR, was released as a single. At the same time as the single was released, the official music video for the song was also uploaded to Bujupi's YouTube channel. On May 17, 2014 the single Feel was released with the Albanian singer Genta Ismajli and DJ Dalool, with whom Ardian had already produced the song Penthouse the previous year . The video clip was shot in the cities of Kosovo.
After this single, Ardian announced his new album Ardicted , which should be released in late October 2014. In keeping with this, the single Boom Rakatak with Lumidee and Big Ali and the young DJ Mase was released at the beginning of September . The video was shot in New York. The release of the album was postponed to January 9, 2015. On December 5, 2014, the single Nach den Sternen (Take my hand) and on December 26, 2014 Wahnsinnig was uploaded to YouTube including a video clip. On January 2, 2015, the song Scheine with the German rapper Kurdo was also made available for download.
After two candidates from Deutschland sucht used the superstar Bujupi's song Boom Rakatak during their casting appearance, the song moved into the top 10 of the iTunes charts one day before the album was released. The day before the album was released, a split video of the songs Joker and All Night II appeared on his YouTube channel. After the release of the album Ardicted had been postponed several times, it was finally released on January 9, 2015. In addition to the oriental rap style already known from the pre-singles, the album also features other music styles, including electro house, German rap and pop .
From May 2015 Bujupi ran his own clothing line HOBA, which was discontinued soon after.
In 2016 Bujupi rose to one of the most popular pop artists in his home country Albania with his songs Na jena njo and E embel . In April 2017 he released a new version of Tarkan's song Kiss Kiss . Together with DJ R'AN and the artists Mohombi and Big Ali , he acquired the rights to the song and produced a modern pop version of the song. On June 9, 2017, he released his third studio album Melodia . With the artists Kurdo and Payy, Bujupi brought two German rappers as feature guests on his album, which made it into the charts. On July 27, 2017, together with the Albanian rapper Capital T, he released the song Andiamo, which to date (as of May 2018) has received over 50 million views on YouTube and became one of the biggest summer hits in Albania in 2017. The mixtape Arigato was released on April 27, 2018 . The songs Primadonna , Cote D'azur and Arigato had already been released in advance as single releases with music video. The mixtape is only available digitally.
Together with the Albanian singer Xhensila Myrtezaj, Bujupi released the song Cika Cika on June 1, 2018 . He was the first male artist to succeed in placing an Albanian song in the official German charts. Within 24 hours, the song received over a million views on YouTube. In August, the music video already had over 50 million views.
In August 2018 Bujupi made a guest appearance on the mixtape Habuubz by Fard . The common single Du bist anders appeared as a music video on August 10th, entered the German charts at number 73 and was not the first collaboration with well-known German rappers. During these years he worked repeatedly with artists from the German rap scene; so common songs appeared with Eno , Payy, Kurdo or Remoe . On October 12, 2018, the single Kalle was released together with the German rapper Gent , who is under contract with Kollegah's label Alpha Music Empire .
Together with the Puerto Rican reggaeton singer Farruko , Bujupi released a remix version of his hit Cika Cika, which to date has generated over 75 million views.
On April 26, 2019, Bujupi released the single Wie im Traum with Fero47 , with which Bujupi celebrated his biggest chart success to date. As in a dream , it climbed to number 15 in the official German charts. There was also a chart placement in Austria and Switzerland. In the course of this, Bujupi announced his new album Rahat , which was released on September 6, 2019. With Wallah ich leb another single was released, which reached number 77 in the official German charts. In the weeks before the album was released , other single releases including a music video were released with Arrita , Meine Liebe and Casino . With the album, Bujupi reached its highest album chart position in Germany to date (32nd place). Rahat also chartered in Austria and Switzerland . At the end of the year Ardian Bujupi went on tour in Germany for the first time on the occasion of the album and released a Luna EP with four songs.
