Telegram for X Everything Can Get Better
(2009)

Telegram für X is the ninth album by Xavier Naidoo . It was released at the end of 2005 and was Naidoo's second most successful album after his solo debut album Not of this World (1998) with over 800,000 albums sold.

Emergence

Telegram for X is Xavier Naidoo's ninth album and his third solo album . Who or what exactly is behind "X" remains unclear, but it is clear that Xavier Naidoo, as in the last songs and albums, is about a religious message. This is already clear in the last lines of the booklet: "You know who you are - God bless you".

The titles of the album were recorded in different recording studios: The tracks And , Please don't ask me , This path , lines of gold , Oh My Lady , Salvation , Where do I come from , You are like a blessing , What we cannot do alone and Are you interested in life were recorded in the sound producer recording studio Ma ( Philippe van Eecke ). The titles Abgrund , Are you woken up , In YOUR hands , Thank you and additional strings for What we can't do alone were recorded in the sound studio Leyh, Sandhausen. The title You're Not For It , however, was recorded at Camp Davis.

Music genre

The album mixes different styles like R&B , jazz and soul . As a stylistic device, spoken chants , scratches and samples were used. The music, however, is mainly carried by the vocals of Xavier Naidoo. The songs are held in mid-tempo and very calm. In addition to Naidoo's religious creed, which also earned him a lot of criticism, the lyrics deal with secular topics such as love ( Oh My Lady ) and his own origin ( This Path ). Political statements are also the subject of various texts ( abyss , you are not in favor ). The only English language song on the album is Oh My Lady .

The four rappers Pal One , Jonesmann , Tone and Danny Fresh are guests on the album.
