Fero47

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Fero47 (born May 16, 1998 in Bad Pyrmont , bourgeois Ferhat Tuncel ) is a German rapper with Kurdish roots.

Life

Fero47 grew up in Bad Pyrmont in the Hameln-Pyrmont district with his seven siblings. His family comes from the southeast Turkish province of Mardin ( Midyat ), where the 47 in his stage name comes from. In 2015 he moved to Frankfurt am Main to do an apprenticeship as a banker , which he did not finish. At the age of 15, Fero47 began recording small cell phone videos of himself rapping, which he published first on Facebook and later on Instagram . By 2018 he was able to build up a fan base of almost 150,000 followers on Instagram.

For December 2018, Fero47 announced the release of its debut single. On December 13, 2018, however, he was involved in a car accident together with his manager Agit Akay, which is why the release date was postponed by a few weeks. The debut single Jaja was finally released on January 11, 2019 and reached number 8 in the German single charts . The single is based on the sampling of Justin Timberlake's hit Cry Me a River and was produced by SiNCH and Typhoon. The accompanying music video was shot by Dominic Witt . On the day the single was released, Epic Records ( Sony Music Entertainment ) announced they had signed Fero47. At the end of March he released his second single Puerto Rico , which made it into the top ten in Germany and Austria. His latest song is called "Désolé" and was released on November 28, 2019. After just one week, the music video already had two million views.

Music genre

Fero47's rap style is characterized by "sung hooks whose sound aesthetics and melodies are reminiscent of the traditional and popular forms of singing in Kurdish-speaking countries, and in this respect the larynx is given a special role in the voiced formation of sounds (sic!)".
