from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Gent (born July 26, 1994 in Drenica , Kosovo ) is a German rapper of Kosovar-Albanian origin.

Life

Ghent and his family moved to Vahrenheide in Hanover when they were one and a half years old . Together with his little brother, who is also musically active as MOZ , he made friends with Alpa Gun and became part of the Caney Army. He then founded his own crew called Kanun with his brother MOZ, who acts as a producer. Then there are the beat producers Kendox and Payman as well as the cover designer Remy Graphics.

Gent published its first videos like Nase kaputt , Mafiozi and Kanun 2017. Without a big label behind them, some of them reached over 800,000 views. In the same year his debut EP Shoki was released on his own label. The EP caught the attention of Kollegah's label Alpha Music Empire , where Ghent signed in 2018.

His debut album Kanun was released on March 22, 2019 and reached number 30 in the German charts.
