Snaga & Pillath is a German rap duo from the Ruhr area .
Career
In the early days, Snaga was still rapping in English with his crew at the time, Die Knappschaft , while Pillath was busy with punchlines . Pillath released together with Mr. Knight and others under the name Nordkurve a cassette and a CD on the label Rec.On Entertainment . In 2005 the mixtape The Left and Right Hand of God followed via Pelham Power Productions .
Since 2006 Snaga & Pillath have been under contract with the Hamburg label Deluxe Records , about which they released their mixtape A Question of Honor with the accompanying music video Komm mit in the same year . This video was co-directed and edited by Snaga, who owns a film production company.
On June 29, 2007, the debut album Aus Liebe zum Spiel was also released via Deluxe Records . The corresponding single RUHRPOTT was supposed to be released on June 15, 2007, but for unknown reasons it did not happen. The song was offered for download on the Internet with a video and a bonus track.
On March 14, 2008, Deluxe Records announced in a press release that Deluxe Records and Snaga & Pillath would part ways. Reasons for the separation are different views on the business and the way of working.
On November 20, 2009, Snaga & Pillath II released their second album, which was produced by 7inch and X-plosive Beats , among others .
