Summer Cem
Summer Cem (born April 11, 1983 ; real name Cem Toraman ) is a German rapper of Turkish origin from Mönchengladbach . He became known primarily through frequent collaborations with Eko Fresh and KC Rebell .
biography
Summer Cem, whose parents come from Malatya , grew up in the Mönchengladbach district of Rheydt . Eko Fresh took Summer Cem to Berlin to introduce him to Kool Savas . He was so impressed by his style that he recorded the song Anti Garanti with him with Eko Fresh, Caput , Ercandize and G-Style for the single about I am young and need the money .
Various features followed, for example on Eko Fresh's debut album I am young and need the money , LOVE by Valezka and Eko Fresh, the studio album Hart (z) IV by Eko Fresh and the sampler German Dream Allstars .
In 2004 he recorded the anti-Garanti version Make Y'All Bounce for the single of the same name together with Raptile , Xzibit and Eko Fresh , which only appeared on the German release. In the same year the German and Turkish-language album Dünya Dönüyor was released - the world is turning by Eko Fresh and Azra , on which Summer Cem was also represented with features. In 2005 he was also found on the sampler Bravo Black Hits Vol. 13 with Not anymore normal (together with Eko Fresh, Capkekz , Manuellsen & Ramsi Aliani ) .
Summer Cem was represented on the Ersguterjunge label sampler Vendetta , which was released at the beginning of December 2006, with the solo track Layer in the Shaft and Bushido on Ich pack dich am Schopf . Summer Cem was also represented on the third Ersguterjunge sampler, Alles Gute Comes from Below , which appeared in December 2007 with a solo track and other collaborations.
In March 2010 it was announced that Summer Cem was opening its own café in Mönchengladbach . On November 19th, 2010 Summer Cem released his debut album Feierabend via German Dream . The album included guest contributions by Farid Bang , Capkekz, Kollegah , Zemine , Eko Fresh, Fard and Raf Camora . The album reached number 85 on the German album charts.
In 2012 Summer Cem released the album Sucuk & Champagner , which immediately landed at number 10 in the German album charts.
After he released his album Babas, Barbies & Bargeld at the beginning of November 2013 , two weeks later he had the title of the album changed to Babas, Doowayst & Bargeld , probably so that associations with the branded doll Barbie could be excluded and no legal problems could develop.
Summer Cem was also featured on Farid Bang's album Killa in 2014 , on KC Rebell's album Rebellution and on Majoe's album Breiter als der Türsteher . Summer Cem has been under contract with Farid Bang's record label Banger Musik since 2014 , where his fourth album HAK was released in November of the same year . This rose to number 4 in the charts. His fifth album Cemesis went to number 1 on the album charts in the first week of sales.
On June 16, 2017, the collaboration album Maximum with KC Rebell was released, which reached number 1 in the German charts.
