Wider than the bouncer , it entered the German album charts at number 1 . In total, the publication stayed in the charts for six weeks. In Switzerland, too, the first solo album Majoes took the highest position on the charts. The publication reached 3rd place in Austria.

criticism

The e-zine Laut.de rated Breiter than the bouncer with one of a possible five points. From the point of view of the editor Laura Sprenger, Majoes “wooden lecture paired with boundless self-overestimation, pointless comparisons and yawning boring announcements [...] make the longplayer a nearly 55-minute nightmare”. Apart from "muscles, maseratis and pussies", "even in the third round," no more content is revealed. In addition, the listener waits in vain for "sophisticated rhymes, depth or even storytelling". The guest contributions by Kurdo and Jasko are also criticized. In contrast, Kollegah and Farid Bang make the title song Badt "a little highlight". The sound of the album is dominated by "choirs [n], strings [n] and pressing [n] basses [n]" and characterized by Sprenger as solid. The readers of the Laut.de website voted Majoe's debut album at number 15 of the “most hated albums of 2014”.
