Majoe
Majoe (born April 21, 1989 in Duisburg ; civil Mayjuran Ragunathan , tamil : மயூரன் ரகுநாதன்) is a German rapper of Tamil - Sri Lankan origins from Duisburg. He became known as part of the rap duo Majoe & Jasko .
Career
Majoe grew up as the son of Tamil immigrants in Duisburg . His family had fled to Germany before the civil war in Sri Lanka . Together with Jasko he started rapping and after several videos and a feature at Halt die Fresse the two of them were signed to Farid Bang's label Banger Musik . Together they released two albums that also entered the German charts.
Majoe later released the videos with Kollegah, What is the matter with you? , The biceps shrink from lettuce and that has nothing to do with hip-hop . He has also featured on releases for KC Rebell , Farid Bang and Summer Cem .
In the run-up to his first solo album, the singles Only Death Can Stop Me , Ghetto Superstar and BADT were released , the latter together with Kollegah and Farid Bang. All three singles entered the German charts. On September 5, 2014, Majoe's solo album Breiter als der Banger Musik was released. The album reached the top of the charts in Germany and Switzerland. In Austria it came in 3rd place.
On October 16, 2015, Majoe's second album Breiter als 2 Türsteher was released . With this, too, he came back to number one in Germany and among the top 3 in the other German-speaking countries, but this time he did not make it into the single charts.
His third album is titled Eye of the Tiger . He has been the testimonial of the fitness chain McFit since December 2016 .
On September 15, 2017 the joint album Blanco by Majoe and Kurdo was released on the label Banger Musik .
His fourth solo album Frontal was released on October 12, 2018 on the label Banger Musik. In January 2019 he became the father of a son.
