The Eye of the Tiger is the third studio album by the German rapper Majoe . It was released on February 10, 2017 on the independent label Banger Musik . Among others, Farid Bang , MoTrip , KC Rebell and Kollegah are featured on the album with guest contributions.

The two previous albums, Breiter als der Türsteher and its sequel Breiter als 2 Türsteher , both reached high chart positions, including number one in the German charts determined by GfK Entertainment .
In late December 2016, he announced the producers and feature guests on his official Facebook page. The title list followed on January 6, 2017.
Producers included Juh-Dee and Gorex, who had previously worked with Majoe on Farid Bang's label Banger Musik and who are represented on other productions by label members.

reception
The album received mixed reviews. Oliver Marquart from the hip-hop magazine rap.de judges that the feature tracks with Philippe Heithier “clearly crossed the line to kitsch one time or another” . Nonetheless, the album was "produced with confidence" and Majoe was " someone who has developed further, relies on his strengths, but also dares to make smaller experiments every now and then and does not shy away from approaching the musical mainstream."
The reviewer Anastasia Hartleib from the e-zine Laut.de does not share this assessment and awards two out of five stars. She rated the album mostly negatively: Majoe is "emotionally dramatic" on the title track , but at least no lyrical improvement is noticeable here. She sums up: "Majoe would like to rap about something else" . Even more, it is "difficult to believe that a Farid Bang really approved that."
The album was rated quite negatively on MZEE as well. In the criticism of the author Benjamin Borowitza it is said: "Standardized, not very refreshing texts based on real talk or from the Banger music retort, paired with an often too monotonous voice deprives the work of any innovation or creativity."
