18 karat is a German rapper . He is under contract with Farid Bang's label Banger Musik from Düsseldorf . Warner Music is responsible for marketing and sales . His stage name is derived from the unit of measurement carat , with which the fineness of gold is indicated. He wears a gold mask in his music videos.

life and career

Not much is known about 18 karat's origins other than that it has roots in Bosnia and Herzegovina. In 2015 he released several music videos on the Supremos Records label's YouTube channel . He appears with a gold mask, which, according to him, is decorated with real gold leaf and has a value of 3500 euros. On the reasons why he appears exclusively with a mask, 18 Karat said the following:

"That's because I'm a street boy and I'm not quite out of the street yet and still have a lot to hide."

At the beginning of 2016, 18 Karat attracted attention with its debut album FSK18 Brutal . In June of the same year he was signed to the Düsseldorf label Banger Musik .

The single Komm ins Café was released on March 2, 2017 . Farid Bang can be seen as a feature guest . Several rappers are dissed in the song, including rappers Casper , Chakuza and Ferris MC . Even Miami Yacine mentioned in a provocative context, and especially invited to "come in's Cafe to talk" . The song was produced by Abaz and Clay Beatz.

His second studio album, Pusha , was released on April 7, 2017 and reached number 4 in the German charts.

On March 3, 2018, his third album Geld Gold Gras was released, which reached number 3 in the German charts.

In April 2019 he announced via Instagram that he would like to resume his former project Supremos Records , under which he also released his first album "FSK18 Brutal", and is in the process of founding a label under the name Supremos Records. The Supremos YouTube Channel has also been active again since 2019. The new artists of the Supremo label HEMSO , BRECHO and HAMADA have already been introduced on this channel with several music videos .
