Capital Bra
Capital Bra (pronunciation: [ kɐpiˌtal ˈbɾa ], also [ kæpɪtɫ bɻa ]), also Joker Bra , real name Vladislav Balovatsky , (born November 23, 1994 in Siberia , Russia ) is a German rapper with Ukrainian and Russian roots. He owns his own label, Bra Musik , which is distributed through Universal Urban .
In Germany and Austria , Capital Bra is the most successful artist in history, measured by the number of number one hits. He is also the first artist who succeeded in placing eight or thirteen number one hits in the German music charts within a calendar year .
Life
Capital Bra was born in Siberia in 1994 . His parents were in the oil industry. The family then moved to Dnipro , Ukraine, where he spent part of his childhood. At the age of seven, he and his mother moved to the Hohenschönhausen district of Berlin . In his youth he played soccer for BFC Dynamo . Then he got into the petty criminal milieu and served several juvenile sentences . Because of fights he had to change schools more often and finally dropped out in the ninth grade.
Career
Capital Bra started writing rap lyrics at the age of eleven. After being mainly active in the Berlin underground scene, he performed for the first time in 2014 at the local hip-hop event Rap on Wednesday and fought a few battles there . Due to his commitment and the rapidly increasing popularity, he was voted the best newcomer on the show that same season. On February 12, 2016, he released his first album, which was produced by the Hijackers . Due to the rapidly growing attention in the previous months, Capital entered the Top 100 of the German charts with the album, where it climbed to number 32 for a week. In Austria it reached number 61.

In February 2017, his second album, which was produced by Saven Musiq and is called Makarov Complex , was released. It was in the German charts for eight weeks and reached number 2. In Austria it reached number 1, in Switzerland number 5; it stayed in the charts for three weeks in both countries. At the beginning of May 2017, Capital Bra released his first EP Ibrakadabra , made it into the Swiss charts and stayed at number 77 for a week.His third album, called Blyat , was released on September 29, 2017 and entered the German and Austrian charts at number 3 . In Switzerland it landed in 5th place. On June 11, 2018 it was announced that Capital Bra is leaving its own label Team Kuku . His fourth studio album Berlin Lives was released on June 22, 2018 . It reached the top position in the German, Austrian and Swiss album charts. His next album alone was released on November 2, 2018 . On July 5, 2018, the track For you all was released together with Bushido and Samra , in which Capital Bra announced that he is now under contract with Ersguterjunge .
In January 2019, Capital Bra and Samra parted ways with Bushido's label Ersguterjunge. On the day of the official separation, Capital published a minute-long statement. In it he reported for the first time about police protection that Bushido received. He also accused his former label boss of cooperating with the police and betraying friends and was disappointed in him. He ended his statement with the words “But we are not a team. Police are your team now ” . Since then, Capital has occasionally been taunts against Bushido. In February 2019 it was announced that Capital Bra had founded its own label called Bra Music . At the end of August Bushido announced that he was working on a new album. In an Instagram post he wrote “Do you also think that LaLaLa and LeLeLe are enough?” , Which was understood as an allusion and diss against Capital, which is known for the frequent use of Adlibs like Lelele . On October 4th, Berlin Leben 2 was released as a collaboration album by Capital and Samra, which immediately reached number 1 in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Of the five previously published singles, four reached the top position in Germany.
The Duisburg rapper Ali471 was the only artist to be signed on September 13, 2019 . On January 31, 2020, the label boss of Bra Musik announced the separation again via Instagram. However, he continues to wish Ali “only the best” and shared his single Wir dream big .
On November 21, 2019, the Berlin Public Prosecutor's Office confirmed an ongoing "investigation into attempted robbery blackmail" in which it lists the rapper Capital Bra as an alleged victim. Just hours earlier, the newspaper Bild had spread allegations that members of the large Arab families Miri and Al-Zein were supposed to blackmail the artist for a substantial sum of money (500,000 euros). At the same time it was rumored that the rapper had turned to the investigative authorities and asked for support. In response to the blackmail attempts, Capital released the video single Der Bratan remains the same on November 29th .
At the end of April 2020, Capital Bra released the song Not Deserved with Loredana , which is the first single from his seventh studio album CB7 . Its release date is announced for September 18, 2020. A few weeks later he released a second single called Komm Komm . The next singles I don't even know what her name is (feat. Bozza ), Other World (feat. Clueso & KC Rebell ) and Breakfast in Paris (feat. Cro ) followed in June, July and August 2020.

The more poppy songs include z. B. the number 1 singles Neymar , One Night Stand , Melodien , Benzema , Prinzessa or Cherry Lady , while number 1 singles like Berlin Lebt , Roli Glitzer Glitzer , Wir Ticken , Tilidin or Zombie through rather hard, aggressive "rap parts" are marked by Capital.
One of his trademarks is the frequent use of the Russian word Bratan , Bra for short (meaning brother in German ). Its meaning is context-bound and is used both as a self-designation, in the sense of mate , as Adlib or as a synonym for age . For the titles of his first albums he used Russian terms ( Kuku Bra , Makarov complex , Blyat ).
