Gzuz (2017)

Gzuz [ ˈd͡ʒəˌzəs ] (born June 29, 1988 in Hamburg ; real name Kristoffer Jonas Klauß ) is a German rapper . His stage name is an acronym for G hetto- Z eug u n z ensiert .

biography

Kristoffer Klauß grew up with his sister with his mother in Hamburg. According to his own statement, Klauss was fascinated by life in the neighborhood in St. Pauli and he decided to become part of it. He experienced drugs early on and used cannabis regularly . The first detox took place at the age of 14. At that time, his mother also dropped him out. Since 2006, Klauß has been a member of the Hamburg hip-hop group 187 Strassenbande under the pseudonym Gzuz .

During a detention period from 2010 to 2013, the 187 street gang completed a solidarity tour in 2012, selling merchandise such as T-shirts with the words "Free Gzuz" on them and demanding Klauss' release. During his stay in prison he had the words “Fuck Cops” tattooed on his upper body with a tattoo machine made from an old cassette recorder.

After his release from prison, he took part in the uprising tour . In 2014 he released the album High & Hungrig together with Bonez MC , which entered the album charts at number 9 in Germany.

This was followed by more songs and features on Sampler 3 and fruit stand from LX & Maxwell .

His solo album Ebbe & Flut was released on October 9, 2015 . This made it to number 2 on the album charts in Germany. On May 27, 2016, he released the album High & hungrig 2 together with Bonez MC . It rose to number 1 on the album charts and achieved gold status .

In June 2016 the song Ahnma by the beginners was released . He was featured with a feature in this song and also appeared in the accompanying music video.

On May 25, 2018, his second solo album, Wolke 7 , was released, which reached number 1 in the German charts. Also in 2018, Gzuz was seen in the second season of the TV series 4 Blocks as a supporting actor.

His third, self-titled album Gzuz was released on February 14, 2020 and again topped the charts in Germany.

He is the father of two daughters.

Lawsuits and convictions

Raid

In October 2010, he was sentenced to three years and six months' imprisonment for robbing a cell phone shop. In 2013 he was released early from custody.

Mayhem

In October 2017 Klauß was in custody taken because he is said to have the employees of a beverage market beaten and was not present at the court hearing. He was released from custody in return for bail and registration requirements and was later sentenced to four months probation.

Sexual harassment

On November 16, 2018, he received a penalty warrant after sexually molesting a 19-year-old woman at the Splash Festival 2018.

Violations of the Narcotics Act, the Explosives Act and the Weapons Act

A house search in April 2018 found 17 grams of marijuana, 2.5 grams of crystal meth and fireworks containing significantly more black powder than the law allows in his apartment. On New Year's Eve 2018, he is also said to have fired a blank gun several times, although he has been prohibited from carrying weapons of any kind since August 2018. An arrest warrant was issued against Klauss for an unexcused absence from court and he was placed in custody. He was released from custody on bail of € 100,000. The main hearing has been running at the Hamburg district court since June 23, 2020. His defense attorney Christopher Posch , who is also known from television, filed a petition for rejection against the judge . He also reported them for deprivation of liberty and perversion of the law .

animal cruelty

In 2018, the animal rights organization PETA filed a complaint against Klauss after he hit a swan in a video. However, the proceedings were terminated.
