Cloud 7 is the second studio album by the Hamburg rapper Gzuz . It was published on May 25, 2018 via the label 187 Strassenbande and was distributed by Vertigo Berlin .

The entire album was written by Gzuz together with Joshi Mizu , only the feature guests were responsible for their own lyrics. Almost all songs were produced by the producer duo The Cratez (12 songs) together with RAF Camora (11 songs) and other producers; only with the last song Nur mit den Echten neither The Cratez nor RAF Camora were involved, the song was produced by KitschKrieg  .

Singles

Two of the single releases, ¿What did you think? and ¿why? , were published on the US video portal WorldStarHipHop. The design of the videos and the aggressive lyrics ensured that the clips were clicked several million times within a very short time, including many US listeners. The video for ¿What did you think? Made it to 50th place of the most popular videos on the site (as of June 2018), which had around 4,000 publications in the last 10 years.

Cloud 7 received mostly average to good ratings from critics.

The sound carrier received a positive rating on rap.de. Oliver Marquart praised the authenticity of the album and described it as an "expression and mirror of [his] time."

Steffen Bauer from MZEE rated the album very positively in terms of Gzuz's technical qualities as a rapper and the productions used. However, he also criticized the rapper's antiquated image of women. "Although most of them would not like to start an argument with the giant, one shouldn't let Gzuz get away with this in times like this such undisguised sexism", it says in the review and that "the rapper's content should sometimes only be enjoyed with caution".

In Germany, the album received a gold record for more than 100,000 units sold in the year of publication .
