Al-Gear (bourgeois Abdelkader Zorgani ) is a German rapper who became best known for working with the rapper Farid Bang . He has Algerian roots and owns his own music label Milfhunter Records .

Life

Abdelkader Zorgani grew up in the Oberbilk district of Düsseldorf . At the age of eleven, his parents divorced. He left secondary school without a qualification and, according to his own statements, served several prison terms.

Zorgani made his first musical appearance in 2008 with a guest contribution on the debut album Asphalt Massaka by the Düsseldorf rapper Farid Bang . Zorgani can also be heard with two guest appearances on his second album Asphalt Massaka 2 , which was released in 2010. In 2011, the rapper released a video for the song Bitch , which is a parody of the song Dreckstück by Bushido and Fler and reached more than four million views on YouTube . After a collaboration with rappers Eko Fresh and Baba Saad , Zorgani's first solo album Kein Feat was released on November 9, 2012 . for Spastis , which does not contain any guest contributions by other artists and was number 52 in the German charts for a week.

After the release of his debut album on the Blackline Records label , there were disputes between Zorgani and the label management, in the course of which the rapper left the label in 2013. At the beginning of 2014 he founded his own label Milfhunter Records and soon signed the rapper Capkekz as the first artist.

On May 23, 2014, Al-Gear's second solo album was released again , which reached number 8 in the German charts.

His third solo album DVC was released on September 7th, 2018 and entered the charts at number 7.

In September 2018 it became known that Zorgani had been issued a criminal order for fraud , which has now become legally binding . The rapper had received social assistance for several months in 2014, although he had an average income of 8,600 euros per month. For this he was sentenced to a fine of 13,600 euros (80 daily rates of 170 euros).

Zorgani had to answer in court again in November 2019. He was sentenced to seven months probation and a payment of 2,400 euros for insulting an employee of the Düsseldorf public order office. Since Zorgani was able to make it credible in court that he couldn't make a living from music and that he was repeatedly dependent on money from his girlfriend, the payment of 100 euro installments was agreed.
