Arrest warrant (rapper)
Arrest warrant (born December 16, 1985 in Offenbach am Main ; bourgeois Aykut Anhan ) is a German rapper who is under contract with Urban / Universal Music .
Personal
Anhan was born to parents of Turkish origin in Offenbach, Hesse . His Zaza - Kurdish father comes from Dersim in Eastern Turkey , his Turkish mother from Giresun on the Black Sea . His father committed suicide when he was 14 years old. Thereupon he broke off his school career without a degree, became a criminal and was sentenced to youth arrest for the first time at the age of 15 .
He chose the stage name as a result of an arrest warrant issued against him in 2006 for drug trafficking . After fleeing to Turkey, he escaped the German authorities and lived in Istanbul for some time . He later moved to the Netherlands, where he lived in Amsterdam and with his cousin in Arnhem . At this time he wrote his first rap lyrics. A little later he returned to his hometown Offenbach in Germany, where he began training as a motor vehicle mechatronics technician , which he broke off after three weeks. He then ran a betting office in Offenbach's Kaiserstraße and began recording his first songs. He then got his first record deal.
He has been married since 2016 and has two children.
His younger brother Capo is also a rapper. His older brother Aytac was sentenced to four years in prison for bank robbery in 2017 .
Career
When the owner of the label Echte Musik, Jonesmann , heard the music of Haftbefehl , he was convinced of its capabilities and signed him. Haftbefehl was involved with eight contributions to the label sampler Chapter 1: Time for something real , and he also gained attention through contributions to the La Connexion sampler and the solo albums by Kollegah and Manuellsen .
On October 29, 2010 his first solo album Azzlack Stereotyp was released , which entered the German album charts at number 59. After the label Echte Musik was closed , Haftbefehl founded his own label Azzlackz , with which his brother Capo , Milonair , Hanybal , Dú Maroc and Veysel are under contract in addition to the Frankfurt-based Celo & Abdi . However, Veysel left it again in March 2015.
In the spring of 2012, Haftbefehl's second album Kanackiş was released, which reached the top ten of the German album charts and includes guest contributions from artists such as Jan Delay and Sido . On the occasion of the 15th anniversary of the death of the American rapper The Notorious BIG , the splash! Magazine published the mixtape The Notorious HAFT in February 2012 , on which well-known producers (e.g. Shuko , Brenk) presented various Acapellas from Haftbefehl in the musical guise of the nineties.
Haftbefehl landed in the singles charts for the first time with the single Chabos Know Who is Babo , which stayed in the charts for a total of eight weeks and reached its highest position at number 30. In the scene, the song was given greater importance, as shown by the numerous remixes and references. But the song and especially the word Babo ( Zaza for father or boss ) also left a lasting impression beyond the scene : Babo found its way into German youth language and was named Youth Word of the Year by a jury headed by Langenscheidt Verlag in November 2013 Elected in 2013 .
In September 2013 he signed a contract with Universal Music . For his first money from Universal, he bought a Jaguar, even though he doesn't have a driver's license himself. His album Russian Roulette was released in 2014 . It is "an impressive work that fluctuates between a gloomy sadness like its role model Notorious BIG and exaggerated Mafia rhetoric in Scarface style," said Florian Lütticke from the German press agency . Most of the beats on the album are from Bazzazian (formerly Benny Blanco). The Juice editor Jakob Paur wrote in his review that “this album marks the long overdue point in time when street rap has to be taken seriously on an artistic level, even beyond all genre boundaries”. He rated Russian Roulette at six out of a possible six crowns. Thus, the album is only the 25th release in the genre to receive this top rating.
In 2015, Haftbefehl can be heard in the song Mama on the MoTrip album of the same name . After the single releases CopKKKilla on December 1, 2015 and Depressionen im Ghetto on December 16, Haftbefehl's mixtape Uncensored was released on December 18 . He announced the release a few hours earlier on the soundclash he played against Sido .
On August 12, 2016, the collaboration album The Holland Job with Xatar was released . He can also be heard in the song Macha Macha on the album Advanced Chemistry by the Hamburg band Beginner , which was also released in August 2016 .
Arrest warrant made a cameo in the December 2018 Netflix series Dogs of Berlin .
Style and content
A central feature is its accent , which is characterized, among other things, by the fact that the consonant H of Haftbefehl is often pronounced as a voiceless velar fricative , like the ch in the German word Bach .
Another characteristic of his presentation is that his texts contain numerous vocabulary taken from Turkish , Arabic , Kurdish and the Zaza language and in some cases also have corresponding sentence structures. The rhyme style and flow of Haftbefehl is primarily based on the American gangsta rapper Notorious BIG , which is noticeable in the use of transient rhymes , middle rhymes and inner rhymes .
In terms of content, the texts of Haftbefehl mostly deal with life in a petty criminal environment (e.g. in I'll take everything away from you or Psst! ). For example, Haftbefehl raps in detail about the manufacture and sale of drugs and the use of gun violence, seeming to convey an ambivalent opinion about life as a criminal and addressing both the supposed advantages and disadvantages of such a lifestyle in his songs . Other topics in the rapper's texts are the discrimination against migrants in Germany ( Kanack generation with Manuellsen) and life in socially disadvantaged districts ( Faith in the Lord with Manuellsen, summer night in Offenbach ).
criticism
The daily Die Welt criticized the arrest warrant for some anti-Semitic passages such as “ticke cocaine to the Jews from the stock exchange” (from the song Psst ), the song Free Palestine and an appearance in a video in which one of his colleagues with a bazooka dummy in the Hand demanded freedom for Palestine . In addition, the Welt article also criticized other statements by the rappers Celo & Abdi, whom he signed . However, the arrest warrant also indicates that he respects every culture and has nothing “against Jews”. Further criticism came from Marcus Staiger , who also quoted from Free Palestine in an article for Spex magazine and at the same time pointed out that the arrest warrant "likes to pretend to be the Jewish carpet dealer Jakob Goldstein in order to get preferential treatment when booking rooms in hotels" . These jokes are "in association with a fan base that likes to look for simple solutions, (...) not at all harmless". Criticism was also leveled of the permanent mention of the name of the Jewish Rothschild family in the song Haram para .
