The Palacio Díaz is a building in the Uruguayan capital Montevideo .
The building, which is stylistically assigned to Art Déco , is located in the Centro district on Avenida 18 de Julio 1333 between Ejido and Yaguarón streets . This location is near the Palacio Municipal a few blocks east of the Palacio Salvo . The work of architects Gonzalo Vázquez Barrière and Rafael Ruano was inaugurated in 1929. The Palacio Díaz houses residential apartments and offices as well as a shopping arcade.
Since 1995 the building has been classified as a Bien de Interés Municipal .
