Unzensiert is the second Mixtape of Offenbacher rapper warrant . It was released on December 18, 2015 via the Urban / Universal label . The album is available in digital form on all download portals and as a stream on Spotify .

publication

On December 1, 2015, the arrest warrant released the music video CopKKKilla on YouTube . The song, which deals with police brutality and the fight against state power, was accompanied by dark scenes from prison. In addition to scenes from everyday prison life, the murder of a police officer with a pencil is shown. The release appeared shortly after Jan Böhmermann had presented his clip Ich hab Polizei in Neo Magazin Royale , in which he had, among other things, imitated the style of the Offenbach rapper. Arrest warrant announced the video on Facebook with the announcement "The medal always has two sides ..." and the hashtag "#ollischulzistimmernochcooler", which refers to Böhmermann's soft and careful show with Olli Schulz . In fact, the thematically similar song was created by pure coincidence so close in time to Böhmermann's track. The mixtape was originally supposed to appear at the same time as Bushido and Shindy's collab album Cla $$ ic , but there were slight problems with the completion, so that the release was delayed. The video for CopKKKilla was filmed in October. Producer Bazzazian commented: “I got police came perfectly. And no, that was not agreed. ”The arrest warrant manager Erfan was also very grateful for Böhmermann's publication:“ The attention from Böhmermann was huge. I can only advise everyone to have a flexible schedule for their release so that they can react to things like that. "

On December 16, arrest warrant's thirtieth birthday, a second video for the track Depression in the Ghetto was released . A new album had not been announced up to this point, arrest warrant only spoke of a "pre-Christmas surprise" that he had in store for his fans.

On December 17th, the Red Bull Soundclash against Sido took place in Essen , which was broadcast on the Internet. At this soundclash he announced the mixtape. That same night at 0:15 it was published on Spotify and iTunes . Further download portals followed.

Production and style of music

13 of the 16 instrumentals were produced by Haftbefehl's partner Bazzazian (formerly Benny Blanco ). Exceptions are the tracks Hang the Bankers ( Jimmy Torrio ), Kalash and Alles geht sich (both SOTT ). The mixtape is written in an uncompromising, hard and threatening sound. This means that it does without the few party tracks that were still available with the predecessor Russian Roulette . Trap beats in particular are used as background music.

In terms of lyrics, the album deals primarily with the topic of migration and integration , the latter term having essentially negative connotations. Accordingly, Haftbefehl tells of Frankfurt's and Offenbach's demimondial world and refers to a raw social realism that is shaped by poverty, radicalization, anger and violence. The texts are written directly, in a storytelling style. As the name suggests, there were no conditions imposed on arrest warrant by its major label Universal and the texts were not subjected to censorship. One of the songs refers to conspiracy theories and mentions the Rothschild banking family from Frankfurt. But the German state is also held responsible for the situation in the Frankfurt and Offenbach slums. The arrest warrant uses a black and white drawing in which the roles are clearly assigned: on the one hand the criminals, migrants and poor, who are primarily exploited and struggle for their survival, on the other hand the state power and the banks, who benefit from the poverty of others and capitalize on it.

Song info

Even before the mixtape was released, the two videos on CopKKKilla and Depressionen im Ghetto were released .

Brudi named Fuffi traces the path of a 50 Euro who goes through different shifts, from the sweaty banker to the drug dealer. In terms of nature, the song is reminiscent of Torch's Blauer Schein . Golden Brown is about drug addiction, the name is street slang for heroin . The track also includes a feature with Xatar .

Odyssey deals with the warrant's own origin.

The track Chabos gathers, as with Chabos, who the Babo is, a whole series of rappers. In addition to the arrest warrant itself, there are Milonair , DOE, Celo , Soufian , Hanybal , Enemy, Abdi , Brate Azzlack, Nimo, Bausa, Diar and Capo . The track advertises Haftbefehl's fashion label.

Kalash with Soufian, Doe, Enemy and Diar became the third video release from the mixtape and was released on January 26, 2016.

The cover of the mixtape shows arrest warrant with an AK-47 in his right hand looking out a window. The artwork is reminiscent of a famous picture by Malcolm X , which various hip-hop acts such as Boogie Down Productions or Harris have reinterpreted for their album covers.

Track list

The album was also released in a “Deluxe Edition” with the individual instrumentals on iTunes . Otherwise, as opposed to the usual promo campaigns in German rap, Haftbefehl focused on minimalism.

The mixtape reached number 56 in the German album charts and number 37 in the Swiss charts.

On BR Puls , the mixtape was counted among the “top records that came out in German rap in 2015”. Hip-hop side Rappers.in is in the same line. Fatma Aydemir called the album “excellent” in her review and described the productions as “high end, the linguistic images as raw social realism”.

The Backspin Hip Hop magazine judged:

“Signing with the major, and this happens extremely seldom, was obviously good for the sewer system of his own creativity. For my part, the Offenbacher could have done without any features, especially the nepotism that will never die down. (...) What a Christmas miracle that a tape can be successful without a children's promo or boxes with self-made bread and jam. A glimmer of hope for the coming year. "

- Edoardo : Backspin.de

Holger Grevenbrock from Laut.de criticized the somewhat weaker middle section, but praised the positive development of arrest warrant:

“'Uncensored' consistently continues the path taken on 'Russian Roulette'. Offenbach seems even darker, injustice even more present and the life of its underworld inhabitants even more hopeless. Hafti shows himself to be connected to the street as ever and proves once more that he is one of the most interesting rappers in the republic. "

- Holger Grevenbrock : Laut.de

The website MZEE.com praises the sound of the tape as well as the contributions of the numerous feature guests, but also criticizes the chanting of the "Rothschild theory" and other content from the area of conspiracy theories.
