Raptile (actually Addis Mussa ; born September 14, 1976 in Munich ) is a German - Ethiopian rapper and member of the group Follow Your Instinct .

Life

Raptile began his musical career in the mid-1990s when he made a name for himself with rap competitors in the streets of Munich. He appeared as a guest rapper at Pharcyde and the Absolute Beginners concerts in Munich . Finally, in 2000 he was invited by David P. and Samy Deluxe to accompany them on their Germany-wide Future Freestyle Tour .

After this tour, he received a record deal from the BMG label Subword and in August 2001 his debut album Da Basilisk's Eye was released , which, however, did not sell well.

In the spring of 2004 he released the single Make Y'All Bounce , which was created in collaboration with the US rapper Xzibit . With this single he reached the German charts for the first time. More hits with producer Neco Tiglioglu and with the support of Valezka and Wayne Wonder followed. The second album by Raptile, for whose production he was able to win numerous well-known guest musicians, came on the market in August 2004 and was his breakthrough. Classic material was already in the top ten of the German album charts in the first week . In 2005 Raptile released the album Mozez . He is the front man of the group Monstablokaz and runs a record label of the same name. In addition to Raptile, the rapper Lionezz, the Nuremberg rapper Cronite and DJ Polique are all under contract. His track Neva Eva is featured in the video game NBA Live 2007.

In 2010 Raptile founded the group Follow Your Instinct with Lionezz and Viper .
