Cronite

Cronite (also known as Croatian Nightmare, formerly General T., bourgeois Antoni Jurčić ) is a Croatian native of Nuremberg who raps in English .

biography

Cronite first made a name for himself as a breakdancer before switching to the microphone in the late 1980s. In various battles he competed against American GIs who gave him the nickname “Croatian Nitemare”, or Cronite for short, after such a battle. Since the early 1990s he has worked with DJs Kaoz and Stylewarz from Bremerhaven , among others , as well as with Playmo from Cologne and producers Baby Dooks , Dash & Koolade from Zagreb .

After releasing several maxis and features, Universal / Urban became aware of him in 2003 , through which he published his debut album "Cronite". The title "Remember" from his debut album was selected by Def Jam South USA for the European version of the film "2FAST2FURIOUS" and appeared on the soundtrack of the same name. In 2005 he released his own mixtape "Independence Day" and in August 2006 his second album "Pariah" on the independent label Highproductions, whose video for the single "Sick of it all" with Masta Ace premiered in December 2006 on MTV Urban.

In 2008 he appeared at the MTV Unplugged concert of the Sons of Mannheim (Wettsingen in Schwetzingen) and was there in "Open the gates for you" by Xavier Naidoo with Azad, Tino Oac and Daniel Stoyanov.

The third studio album "Magnum Opus" was released in March 2011 via Monopol Records and contained guest contributions from Ras Kass, DoItAll (Lords Of The Underground), Mike Marshall, John Davis and Jay Del Alma, as well as Kam Moye and Pacha Man.
