Strong Arm Steady

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Strong Arm Steady is an American rap group from California . The group members are Mitchy Slick , Phil the Agony and Krondon.

Career

Under the leadership of Xzibit , the group was gradually put together around the time after the album Man Vs Machine was released . Immediately they started releasing an extreme number of mixtapes to make a name for themselves, which worked particularly well in the Los Angeles area .

In order to become better known outside of this area, they released a DVD in 2004, on which the group was practically introduced and on which you could see excerpts from performances and studio recordings. It also contained the single Get Your Bars Up and their first CD, a kind of best-of of the previous mixtapes.

Then the debut album Arms & Hammers should appear on Xzibits label Open Bar Entertainment, but the remaining group members wanted to Talib Kweli's label Blacksmith Music , so Xzibit separated from the group and Mitchy Slick, Phil the Agony and Krondon under it alone as Strong Arm Steady Contract were taken. In 2007, Strong Arm released Steady Deep Hearted , which, according to Krondon, is not their debut album, but a compilation designed to show how the group works with other artists. Nevertheless, a single was released - One Step with a guest appearance by Talib Kweli - for which a music video was also released. Another video followed in 2008, shot for Arms & Hammers ' first single , Can't Let It Go . Before the album was released, however, another mixtape appeared, presented by Talib Kweli and Clinton Sparks . A video was also filmed for the song Black History (with Planet Asia , Chace Infinite & Affion Crockett) contained on it.
