Klaus Hiendl (* 1944 ; † October 11, 2006 in Landshut ) was a German furniture entrepreneur. Together with his brother Rudolf, he was the owner and manager of the traditional Passau furniture store Hiendl .

Hiendl was born the son of the cabinet maker Rudolf Hiendl senior. In 1963 he joined the family business and took over management of it together with his three years younger brother in the early 1970s. Both gradually built it up into one of the largest furniture store chains in southern Germany. In September 1973 the first living wonderland opened in the Neustift district of Passau . After the establishment of a second branch in Regensburg in 1995, further branches in Augsburg , Fürstenstein , Neuötting and Rosenheim followed in recent years . The 62-year-old Hiendl, father of two children, has shied away from the public for years.

Hiendl died on October 11, 2006 at the age of 62 from the consequences of his injuries, which he sustained in a traffic accident on the Federal Highway 92 near Landshut that evening .

The furniture store he helped to build was sold to XXXLutz in June 2007 with all branches . At that time, 1,400 employees generated sales of 200 million euros.
