Mitchy Slick

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Mitchy Slick (* in San Diego , California ; actually Charles Mitchell ) is an American rapper .

Mitchy Slick comes from a city where there are hardly any known rap artists. It was therefore easy for him to draw attention to himself by selling a few mixtapes and to take advantage of local patriotism. He used the money he earned to found his own label , Wrongkind Records .

Under this label, he released his debut album , which - almost exclusively through sales in San Diego - Top 13 in Top Independent Album - Billboard charts got in.

Having become aware of this success, Xzibit , whom Mitchy Slick had already met , decided to include him in his group Strong Arm Steady .

At the same time he started to bring mixtapes alone or with "Strong Arm Steady" on the market and to work on his next solo album. However, since he wanted to reach a larger audience this time, he was looking for a better known label. After several years he found a new contract with DJ Muggs ' (from Cypress Hill ) Angeles Records. There he released his album Urban Survival Syndrome on September 12, 2006 in the USA .

In 2007 the collaboration album Messy Slick with Messy Marv was released .
