Edgar Manutscharjan ( Armenian Էդգար Մանուչարյան , in English transcription Edgar Manucharyan ; born January 19, 1987 in Yerevan ) is an Armenian football player .

Ajax Amsterdam
At the beginning of December 2004, Manutscharjan came to the Dutch soccer club Ajax Amsterdam as a test player . In a test match against FC Barcelona on December 14, 2004 in the Spanish city of Elche , Manucharyan injured his foot. A later medical examination revealed that he had broken the metatarsal bone in his right foot. On the same day he was named Player of the Year 2004 by the Armenian Football Association . Due to the injury, the Armenian did not receive a contract with Ajax. But that happened in June 2005 when he moved to Amsterdam for $ 100,000. On September 18, 2005 he made his debut in the game against AZ Alkmaar . In total, he was four times in the Eredivisie for Ajax Amsterdam on the field. In the following season he was mostly used in the second team, the Jong Ajax, due to injuries. The 2007/08 season of the Armenians could not complete a single game for Ajax, so that Manutscharjan in March 2008 the desire to leave the club.
Haarlem and Apeldoorn
On August 6, 2009 it was awarded to the HFC Haarlem . He made his debut the next day. In the following six months he scored six goals in seventeen games. On January 25, 2010, the club declared bankrupt and Manucharyan returned to Ajax. On February 3rd he was loaned to AGOVV Apeldoorn , who were trained by the former Ajax player John van den Brom . He scored a goal in his first game.
Return to Yerevan
In July 2010, his contract with Ajax, which was valid until 2011, was terminated. This was done by mutual agreement. He then moved back to his former club FC Pyunik Yerevan , where he signed a six-month contract. In the 2010 season he scored five goals for Yerevan and won the Armenian championship with the team. At the end of the season, he signed a three-year deal with Pyunik. In mid-August 2011 he was loaned to the Russian club Ural Yekaterinburg for one year . In his first five games, he scored three goals.
Urals Yekaterinburg
After his loan, he moved to FK Ural on July 17, 2012.
National team
Manucharyan played a total of 53 times for the Armenian national team between 2004 and 2017, scoring nine goals.
