Pilsbach is a municipality in Upper Austria in the Vöcklabruck district in the Hausruckviertel with 622 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2020). The responsible judicial district is Vöcklabruck.
geography
Pilsbach is located at an altitude of 475 m in the Hausruckviertel around 4 km from Vöcklabruck. The extension is 4.6 km from north to south and 4.6 km from west to east. The total area is 10.2 km². 45.1% of the area is forested, 49% of the area is used for agriculture.

history
Originally located in the eastern part of the Duchy of Bavaria, the place belonged to the Duchy of Austria since the 12th century. Since 1490 it has been assigned to the Principality of Austria ob der Enns .
During the Napoleonic Wars , the place was occupied several times.
Since 1918 the place belongs to the federal state of Upper Austria. After the annexation (Austria) to the German Reich on March 13, 1938 the place belonged to the Gau Oberdonau . After 1945 the restoration of Upper Austria took place.

Blazon : Over a golden, raised three-mountain, in it a blue wavy bar, split; on the right a golden, waning moon in blue, on the left by silver and red divided obliquely left five times. The municipality colors are blue-white-red.
The municipal coat of arms designed by Franz Leitner was awarded in 1983 by the Upper Austrian provincial government. Dreiberg and Bach symbolize the place name, which is derived from "Bühel" and "Bach". The moon refers to the former affiliation to the Mondsee Monastery , the white and red sloping bars are the main coat of arms of the Polheimers , who owned 49 subject houses in what is now the municipality.

In 1991 the municipality had 554 inhabitants according to the census, in 2001 it had 630 inhabitants.
