Municipal council and mayoral elections in Upper Austria 2015

The municipal council and mayoral elections in Upper Austria 2015 took place on September 27, 2015 together with the 2015 state elections in 442  municipalities . A total of 1,155,084 people were eligible to vote.

Suffrage

Right to vote

Austrian citizens and non-Austrian EU citizens who are not excluded from the right to vote, have their main residence in the respective municipality and are 16 on election day are entitled to vote .

Passive suffrage

Those persons who have the active right to vote and who have reached the age of 18 on election day at the latest are eligible to vote.
