Josef Ecker-Stadlmayr

Josef Ecker-Stadlmayr (born August 8, 1898 as Josef Ecker in Ungenach , † April 1, 1972 in Pilsbach ) was an Austrian farmer and politician ( ÖVP ). From 1949 to 1961 he was a member of the Upper Austrian state parliament .

Life

Josef Ecker-Stadlmayr grew up in Oberpilsbach, where he also took over his mother's farm. He was a co-founder of the Vöcklabruck warehouse cooperative and a member of the Schwanenstadt dairy cooperative, the Schärdinger dairy cooperative , the Upper Austrian dairy association and the Raiffeisen central bank, of which he was chairman from 1955 to 1970; from 1954 he was also on the board of the Raiffeisenverband Oberösterreich. from 1955 to 1971 Ecker-Stadlmayr was a representative of the cooperatives in the plenary assembly of the Chamber of Agriculture .

Ecker-Stadlmayr had been married since 1924.

politics

Ecker-Stadlmayr was early involved in rural, church and political organizations. He was chairman of the farmers' union of Pilsbach and from 1930 to 1938 deputy district chairman of the Vöcklabruck judicial district . From 1929 to 1935 he was the representative of the CSP mayor of Pilsbach.

In 1949 Ecker-Stadlmayr was elected to the Upper Austrian Landtag, to which he belonged until 1961. From 1953 on, he was also a member of the board of directors of the Upper Austrian Farmers' Union and, until 1965, also deputy chairman.
