history
On June 11, 801, the name Repagove is mentioned for the first time in a document . The name Regau can be derived from "Rebengau", which can be derived from the well-known wine-growing history of the market town.
Later the Counts of Rebegau ruled over it, their castle probably stood in today's village of Burgstall. Originally located in the eastern part of the Duchy of Bavaria, the place belonged to the Duchy of Austria since the 12th century . Since 1490 it has been assigned to the Principality of Austria ob der Enns .
During the Napoleonic Wars , the place was occupied several times.
Since 1918 the place belongs to the federal state of Upper Austria. After Austria was annexed to the German Reich on March 13, 1938, the place belonged to the "Gau Oberdonau "; in 1945, Upper Austria was restored.
The market survey took place on March 6, 2000 .
