Wankham is a village in the Upper Austrian market town of Regau in the Vöcklabruck district . Wankham is located in the extreme northeast of the municipality in the cadastral municipality of Unterregau between the rivers Ager and Aurach in the immediate vicinity of the municipalities of Attnang-Puchheim and Desselbrunn . The village has 508 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2020).
Wankham had 459 inhabitants at the census in 2001 and was the place in the municipality with the fourth largest population after Schalchham , Regau and Preising and even before Rutzenmoos . In 2017, according to Statistics Austria , Wankham was the sixth largest town with 502 inhabitants after Schalchham, Preising, Rutzenmoos, Regau and Lixlau.
Wankham has its own stop on the Salzkammergutbahn . There are two run-of- river power plants on the Ager in Wankham .
