Hart (z) IV is the second solo album by the German rapper Eko Fresh . It was released on June 23, 2006 via the Subword, Sony BMG and German Dream labels as a standard and limited edition.

production

Much of the album was produced by music producer Kingsize, who contributed eleven beats. Four productions each come from DJ Sess and DJ Rocky. Further songs were produced by the producer duo Beatlefield as well as by Sti, Triple-D, Thai and Zero.

Cover design

The album cover shows the gold-black lettering Hart (z) IV on a black background. Blood stains can be seen on the left in the picture and the lettering Eko Fresh in gold-black is on the top left .

Guest Posts

In addition to Eko Fresh, other artists appear on eleven songs on the album. The rapper Bushido is involved in the song Gheddo , while the singer G-Style can be heard on Ek Is Back . The rap duo La Honda has a guest appearance on Track Westside , and the Cologne rapper SD supports Eko Fresh on Kings of Cologne . The Turkish singer Ayas Kapli and the rapper Killa Hakan are represented on the song Bazen , while Stenzgang is a collaboration with the rappers Hakan Abi, Kingsize and Summer Cem . The piece Ruhe vor dem Sturm is a collaboration with Eko Fresh's rap group Anti Garanti. In Wir sind Soldier, Homie rapper Kay One is represented, and on the cover You won't get rid of us , Eko Fresh works with rapper Saad . In addition, the rapper Capkekz has a guest contribution on This is my quarter , and the singer Billy is on the track once again .

Hart (z) IV entered the German album charts at number 24 on July 7, 2006 and was ranked 47 and 60 in the following weeks. In total, it stayed in the top 100 for eight weeks. In Austria the album reached position 70, while in Switzerland it missed the charts.

The first single was released on June 2, 2006, the song Gheddo , on which the rapper Bushido is represented. The release reached number 15 in the German charts. The second single Ek Is Back was released on August 18, 2006 and ranked 32nd in the charts.

Philipp Gässlein from laut.de rated the album with three out of a possible five points. It would create a rousing atmosphere to which "the beats do their part". When it comes to “subject matter, rhyme schemes and humor”, “the influence of the former mentor Kool Savas is omnipresent”. The single Gheddo in particular is rated positively. However, Eko Fresh is not always convincing lyrically along the length of the album.
