German Dream Entertainment, since 2017 German Dream Empire , is a music label under the management of the German rapper Eko Fresh . It was founded in 2004 by Eko Fresh under the umbrella of Groove Attack , and registered as a GmbH in 2007 under the name German Dream Evangelium . The GmbH ceased to exist in 2015, and in 2017 Eko Fresh re-founded the label under the name German Dream Empire .

Originally there was a contractual arrangement for sales with Groove Attack, but this was terminated at the end of 2005. Intergroove was then responsible for sales until the end of 2009. It has been Sony Music since 2017 .

history

Summer Cem was already involved in the recordings of Eko's CD “ I am young and need the money ” in 2003 and has been part of Eko's crew ever since. A year later he released the unsuccessful mixtape Summer Cem Becomes a Star.

Capkekz signed with German Dream in early 2004, rappers SDiddy and Farid Bang signed with German Dream in 2005.

In 2007 the La Honda duo released their album "Gorillas im Nebel". Kay One left German Dream in mid-2007 to switch to Bushido's label " ersguterjunge ". In early 2008, SDiddy released his album " 21 Gramm ". Farid Bang released his debut album " Asphalt Massaka " also in 2008. The rapper Capkekz released his album "Cap der Angst" in 2009 shortly before the distribution change from intergroove to 7days / Sony Music . At the beginning of 2010, Farid Bang released his second album on German Dream. It reached number 56 in the German charts and was the label's first success. The rapper Summer Cem released his debut album shortly afterwards and reached number 85 in the German charts. Eko Fresh also released an album for the first time, " What Costs the World ?" about German Dream and reached number 36 in the German charts.

In 2011 Farid Bang released his album " Banger Leben kürzer " and reached number 11 in the German charts. This was the label's first commercial success. Eko Fresh released " Ekrem" in the same year and reached the fifth place. In 2011, Hakan Abi, the label CEO of German Dream Evangelium, launched his sampler “The Big Branx Theory”, but it was unsuccessful. Summer Cem, Eko Fresh and Farid Bang all release a solo album each in 2012, and all reached the top 10 of the German album charts. German Dream Evangelium was dissolved in 2012 after the distribution contract expired. Eko Fresh founded the label again in 2017 and again under the umbrella of Sony Music. The first release " König von Deutschland " reached number four in the German charts. This was followed by the best-of album by Eko Fresh, "Legende" which, however, could not achieve a placement.
