Pedaz (* 20th century in Essen ; bourgeois Christian Peters ) is a German rapper from Essen.

Career

Pedaz was already active in the 2000s, which was very successful for the hip-hop scene in the Ruhr area , and was known, among others, with Snaga & Pillath , PA Sports and Manuellsen . Already in 2005 his first tracks appeared on the mixtape P-Böller . He also appeared on the DVD series Feuer über Deutschland . Shortly afterwards, he decided to train as an electrician parallel to his rap career .

In 2014, the collaboration album 100% Macher was released , which he recorded together with the rapper Blut & Kassel . It reached number 75 on the charts. In 2016 he was signed as the first signing for the newly founded distri sub-label Distri Records. As a harbinger of the debut album, the video for Auf die Fresse, get, go! published on the YouTube channel of the 187 street gang . On April 22, 2016, the album Schwermetall was finally released , which reached number 47 in the German charts. The executive producers were Raf Camora and the Stereoids , the beats come from Joshimixu , Abaz , Rooq , Johnny Illstrument and Joznez , among others . In addition to Raf Camora, the German rock band Haudegen around ex-rapper Joe Rilla is represented as features . He was also able to win MoTrip, Sido, Silla, Joka, Raf Camora, Sinan-G, Blut &assen and Joshi Mizu for the 'Prachtkerle Remix' for the piece Wie ein Mann .

Music genre

Pedaz is above all a so-called punchline rapper, a rapper who is active in battle rap and competes against an imaginary opponent. He is based on the early Ruhrpott scene. Snaga in particular is considered a role model. He processes many inspirations from his work and the mentality of the Ruhr area. He also processes personal topics in his lyrics.
