Sinan-G (born September 1, 1987 in Essen ; bourgeois Sinan Farhangmehr , Persian : سینان فرهنگ‌مهر), also Sinan Germany (formerly Sinan-Gold) is a German rapper with Iranian roots.

biography

Sinan-G was introduced to hip-hop in elementary school through his older brother Roozbeh Farhang .

In April 2007 Sinan-G had to serve a three-year prison sentence in the Siegburg prison for forming a criminal organization and breaking into the law. During his imprisonment he received support from parts of the German rap scene. Artists like Sentino or Manuellsen started "Free Sinan-G" shoutouts and Myspace entries. As a result of Sinan-G's flourishing MySpace appearance, there was a media hype that made Sinan-G, who was previously almost unknown as a rapper , known beyond the Ruhr region through television and press reports . For example, he is portrayed in the episode Sinan G. by Johannes F. Sievert in the episode film Zeche is nich - Seven Views of the Ruhr Area 2010 , which premiered at the opening of RUHR.2010 - European Capital of Culture at Essen's Zeche Zollverein . In the film, Sinan-G talks about his connection to the Rot-Weiss Essen football club and can be filmed in the stadium in a club jersey. In prison, Sinan-G rehearsed the play Abstiegskampf - a second half by Jörg Menke-Peitzmeyer with other inmates, which was performed in front of sold out houses at the Bonn theater . Sinan-G's activities as an actor and soccer player resulted in an early release from prison after a year and a half.

In 2009 Sinan-G released the autobiographical debut album Ich bin Jesse James through the label Callshopmafia and Flavamatic founded by his brother , in which he offers his own life story as a warning example and draws parallels between himself and the western legend Jesse James . The album also features guest appearances by befriended rappers Farid Bang and Kollegah . In the same year, Sinan-G also performed joint appearances with rappers Bushido , Massiv and Olli Banjo . He also performed as a pre-act at the last five concerts of rapper Azad on his Azads Assassin Tour in 2009 .

On February 4, 2011 Sinan-G released his second solo album Schutzgeld . This includes guest contributions from Eko Fresh , Massiv, KC Rebell, PA Sports, Farid Bang, Frauenarzt and Manuellsen . Videos for Badaboom (with Eko Fresh) and Copland were released for the album .

On December 18, 2015, Sinan-G announced that he was about to begin a new prison sentence. His album Free Sinan-G was released on February 26, 2016 . In the same year he took part in the BeefBattle duel on the grill on ProSieben Maxx .

At the beginning of April 2018 there was a SEK deployment at Sinan-G on suspicion of a violation of the War Weapons Control Act . Sinan-G had previously posted a photo on Instagram that showed him with an assault rifle . The rapper stated that it was only a prop for a video shoot, the police could not find any weapons.
