Sentino (born June 8, 1983 ; real name Sebastian Enrique Alvarez ), meanwhile also Sentence , Vitalyi and Tatuażyk is a German-speaking rapper and songwriter from Berlin-Pankow .
Life
Sentino grew up with his Polish mother after his Chilean father left the family. For a short time he also lived with his relatives in Warsaw . He dropped out of school early to devote himself to rapping, according to his own statements. At the age of 15 he performed on the Royal Bunker freestyle stage . There he met rapper Joe Rilla from the hip-hop group Illiterate . He went on tour with them and appeared on their album.
Sentence was then signed to Def Jam Germany , which went bankrupt before the release of his already recorded record. Also, despite a contract with BMG Subword, no album was released. Even without a record deal, he achieved some fame, he was often mentioned in the lyrics of other rappers, but without having released his own album.
“Hip-hop insiders” discuss his alleged work as a ghostwriter for other Berlin rappers such as Bushido or Fler . Sentino has worked with many well-known German rappers. He raps z. E.g. with Bushido on Electro Ghetto the tracks Teufelskreis und Deutschland (give me a mic) . In Berlin he worked with Ostblokk, Optik Records , PX Records, Aggro Berlin and ersguterjunge . He also worked with artists from Phlatline from Chemnitz , Oibel Troibel from Switzerland , Paolo77 from Hamburg , Ali A $ from Munich and Jonesmann from Frankfurt am Main , among others .
In 2004, Axel Schwenk, then owner of the Internet platform Clubbersguide.cc, and Ingo Rottmann founded the record label 5 vor 12 Records, where, in addition to Sentence, Kid Kobra was also signed. In 2005 Sentino responded to the Hamburg rapper Samy Deluxe via internet track on a diss from the Splash , but Samy Deluxe did not react to this teasing.
Sentino's first album Ich bin deutscher Hip Hop was released on October 20, 2006. The album has a playing time of 83 minutes and was produced by Monroe , Brisk Fingaz and DJ Ilan , among others . Azad , Manuellsen and the Berlin Megaloh took part as guests . Olli Banjo took part in the remix of the single , who previously mentioned Sentino in a rather negative context in his songs.
After the album was released, Sentino split from 5 to 12 records . For a short time he was active in the environment of Manuellsen's label Shrazy Records , where he also recorded 15 songs, which however never appeared due to label inconsistencies. On November 30th 2007 the mixtape Sentino was released ... and proud of it! via Liquor Music as a foretaste of Sentino's Way 3 - the godfather's son, which was only released almost 10 years later in March 2017.
In the following years Sentino moved back to his hometown Warsaw, where he lived for a long time and temporarily withdrew from the music scene. After this break, Sentino reported back in 2010 on Monroe's producer album Movement . Shortly afterwards he released the track Wilder Osten, which announced a comeback for 2010.
In December 2011 he announced that he would drop his middle name Sentence and from now on only appear as Sentino .
In February 2012 Sentino released his second album Stiller Westen . It was released by Paraschizzo Records Switzerland and distributed by Nation GmbH Switzerland & Groove Attack Germany . Then he moved again increasingly in the environment of the rapper Fler and his label Masculin. He participated with features on tracks such as Rap Renegades and Lila Scheine on the compilation Masculin Mixtape Vol. 2, which was released in mid-2012. In the course of 2012 he also drew attention to himself through feature parts on the songs Klassentreffen on the album Ek To The Roots by Eko Fresh and on the parallel United Remix by the Frankfurt rap duo Celo & Abdi .
On May 30, 2014, Wilder Westen, a remix album based on Sentino's solo album Stiller Westen , was released in 2012 . In addition, Sentino was featured on the track Drugs, Nutten and Cash from Fler's album Neue Deutsche Welle 2 .
From the beginning of 2016 he was under contract with Flers label Masculin . In February 2016 he was featured as a feature guest on the single Unterwegs von Fler. In June 2016, Fler announced in an internet video that Sentino had gone to Poland again and did not intend to fulfill his contract with the Masculin label . The joint work is therefore already over.
Since 2018 he has been working in the background with Kollegah and artists from his label Alpha Music Empire and, for example, contributed to the lyrics of Kollegah's and Asche's song Yayo on Kollegah's album Alphagene 2.
