Monroe (producer)

Monroe (born August 18, 1982 in Oldenburg (Lower Saxony) ; actually Willem Bock ) is a German music producer , author and publisher .

Career

Monroe made his first steps as a musician with demo tapes on his own with the group Monroe & Salomon between 1999 and 2001. The first sound carrier release distributed throughout Germany was in 2003 the album "Natur des Menschen" by Pahel (RAG / Ruhrpott AG), which was completely produced by Monroe. After the first productions for Showdown Records artists Rasul ( Square One ) and KC da Rookee in 2004, the production of two Sony BMG singles for Kool Savas & Azad's joint top 5 album "One" followed in 2005 .

In 2006 Monroe founded together with Dennis Kortümm - manager of Bill and Tom Kaulitz ( Tokio Hotel ) and Samy Deluxe - the publishing edition PaperPaper at EMI Musicpublishing Germany. In 2006, Monroe's debut album "Your Favorite Rappers' Favorite Producer" followed through PaperPaper distributed by Groove Attack.

In 2007 Monroe produced the albums by Pal One (Starting Lineup) and Separate (Buckwheats) and others. a. with feature guests Xavier Naidoo , Sebastian Hämer and Moses Pelham .

In 2008 productions for Das Bo , D-Flame , Pahel and Curse feat. Xavier Naidoo . In addition, Monroe started working with ex- DSDS candidate Dennis Haberlach .

In 2009, songs produced by Monroe appeared on releases by Eko Fresh and Xavier Naidoo .

In 2009 (November) the album "Movement", produced by Monroe, was released, on which many artists are represented, with whom he had previously worked. Including "Xavier Naidoo", "Samy Deluxe", "Curse", "Eko Fresh", "Separate" and many more. In addition to the actual 18-track CD, there is also a "Best-of Monroe" bonus CD.

After various free tracks in 2010 and songs on the releases of "Eko Fresh" and "Laas Unltd", "Monroe" released the exhibition soundtrack "Stylectrical" presented by the "Museum für Kunst & Gewerbe Hamburg" in 2011.
