Mirko Alexander Bogojević (born October 10, 1976 in Hamburg ), better known by his stage name Das Bo , is a German rapper . He became known with the band Fünf Sterne deluxe , which emerged from the hip-hop duo Der Tobi & das Bo .

biography

Bogojević finished his school career in 1996 with the Abitur at the grammar school Dörpsweg in Hamburg-Eidelstedt , where his father Dušan Bogojević, who immigrated from Bosnia-Herzegovina , worked as a teacher .

He became known together with Tobi Tobsen as " Der Tobi & das Bo ". Both worked on the hit " Nordic by Nature " by Fettes Brot . They also had a hit with “Der Racka”, a title from their first album Genie and Wahnsinn are close together . In 1998 the album Sillium was released under the group name " Fünf Sterne deluxe " (together with marcagnes and DJ Coolmann). The single releases Do you want to go with me? and your heart beats faster could assert itself in the charts.

Bogojević also worked successfully solo as a member of the Mongo Clikke , made guest appearances with the Absolute Beginners and released his single Türlich, Türlich (Safe, Dicker) in 2000 , which became a hit in the style of the Miami bass sound. Shortly before that, Fünf Sterne deluxe brought further hits onto the market with the album Neo.Now and the singles Deine Mudder and Die Leude that were extracted from it . The lyrics serve almost every genre existing in rap, for example there are “storytelling” or political texts, but also texts that exude the humor typical of the stars through consistent juggling with words and rhymes.

In 2005 and 2006 he was a guest with the Hamburg band Deichkind and in 2009 and 2011 with Jan Delay & Disko No. 1 . Bogojević was a jury member in the casting show X Factor , which started on August 30, 2011 on VOX , in the second season .

The Bo worked at Sky for the Sky football show Saturday Live!

The Bo is committed to learning to read and write as part of the “iCHANCE” campaign, which is carried out by the Federal Association for Literacy and Basic Education .

In 2019 Das Bo worked on the album Who says that? Von Deichkind also contributed to the single release, among other things, as an author.

In December 2003 Das Bo released the single Be you ready for DAS BO and in May 2004 I have rap for you . Both tracks are also included on the solo album released in June 2004 .

In 2004 he released the single Wie geil ist das? With the Hamburg rapper duo Jansen & Kowalski . (Great offer) . At the end of 2005 the single Eey Yo by DJ Tomekk appeared on the Das Bo and at the end of 2006 he appeared for Mr. DJ Put on the Red Light on the side of U 96 (alias Alex Christensen ).

At Live Earth - the melt - and the MTV Campus Invasion festival appearance by Jan Delay & Disko No.1 came Bo briefly on the stage with Jan 'Course,' Course (Secure, Dicker) to play. At Melt! Festival, he also joined again with Deichkind and offered them the common song Prost is. He then celebrated his second chart hit after seven and a half years.
