The Tobi & das Bo were a German-speaking hip-hop duo from Elmshorn ( Pinneberg district ), which consisted of Mirko Bogojević ( Das Bo ) and Tobias Schmidt ( Tobi Tobsen ).
Bogojević and Schmidt were active as a duo until the mid-1990s, before they founded the successor combo Five Stars deluxe together with Marc Clausen ( operating under the stage name Marcagnes ) and Mario Cullmann (known as DJ Coolmann ) .
The Tobi & Das Bo occasionally struggled with a lack of recognition from the real hip-hop community. They were repeatedly criticized by so-called serious MCs like Torch (from Advanced Chemistry ), for example in 1994 in various episodes of the then VIVA hip-hop special-interest program Freestyle . Your wit in language is entertaining, but (too) uncritical.
Today both artists are also doing solo projects.
On the album command from the bottom (2012) the band Deichkind are the Tobi & das Bo in the song Roll the barrel purely as Featuring doing.
The duo performed live for the first time on October 27, 2015.

Others
The video for the single Morgen goes the bomb off (published on the Genie und Wahnsinn ... albums) is remembered for the use of marionettes in the style of the Augsburger Puppenkiste . The dolls and the equipment are from Robert Rebele .
