Punch Arogunz (born July 30, 1991 in Meschede , bourgeois Benjamin Schön , nee Posern ) is a German rapper from Hohenkirchen . He is the owner of the Independent - Hip-hop - Labels Attitude Movement.

Musical career

Punch Arogunz first became famous as a rapper at the video battle tournament (VBT) and at the Julien's blog battle (JBB). Inspired by Xzibit , Eminem and 50 Cent , he tried his hand at these tournaments in the Battlerap and at the same time was part of the rap crew 111-Übersound with Kasi Abstrakkt (now Charles Clear). In the tournaments he never reached the finals, but attracted attention. In 2011 his mixtape One Punch is enough . In 2013 the download EP Mora followed .

Outside of the battle tournaments, he became known to rap fans through a video at Shut Up on AggroTV. After several offers, he finally signed with Baba Saad's label scoundrels . He made his debut on the label sampler Beuteschema . His debut album Carnivora was finally released on January 31, 2014, followed by his second studio album Frontal on July 3, 2015. On August 19, 2016, the collaboration album Bang Bang was released together with Baba Saad, which entered the official charts at number 6. A tour with Baba Saad was supposed to follow, but Punch Arogunz fell ill with the nervous disease fibromyalgia , which put him out of action for several months. 2017 saw the separation from the label Halunkenbande and the end of the friendship with Saad.

His third solo album Painless was released on May 25, 2018 on his own label Attitude Movement and was ranked 8th in the German charts. On the concept album he addresses his illness.

Music and image

Punch Arogunz, who used to be one of the best-known and most popular battlerapper in the video battle tournament (VBT) and in Julien'sBlogBattle (JBB) 2013, has been trying for several years to shed the battlerap image and to be recognized as a normal artist. He succeeded in doing this after his first solo album (Carnivora). In addition, his image also includes his contact lenses and his tattoos, which extend over the entire body. His rap style is aggressive and interspersed with double-time passages. However, he often writes songs that have a deeper meaning (e.g. making waves, not the same or like a scar or what do you know about it ).
