The starting line-up consisted of Valezka , Eko Fresh , Melbeatz and DJ Nicon. Until the dissolution, besides Savas, Melbeatz, DJ Nicon and Ercandize , also Caput, Amar, Franky Kubrick, Kaas, the producer Christyle, DJ Sir Jai and the singer Moe Mitchell belonged to Optik Records . The Swiss rapper Dezmond Dez was the artist of the sub-label Optik Schweiz, founded in 2006.

The label was also responsible for the soundtrack of the film Adil goes (Let's break) by Esther Gronenborn , which was largely produced by Melbeatz and dISCOpOLO (ABS), as well as exclusive songs by Ercandize and Amar. On July 31, 2008, Kool Savas announced on the label's website that he would liquidate the label after the farewell tour in early 2009. The last official Optik Records concert took place on January 31, 2009 in Berlin.
