The John Bello Story is a mixtape by the German rapper Kool Savas . It was released on May 23, 2005 on his label Optik Records . On September 19, 2008, a premium edition, including the music video for the song The Judgment , was released.

The beats for the mixtape come from Kool Savas himself as well as from Amar , Melbeatz , Brisk Fingaz , Ercandize and Ronald Mack Donald.

Cover design

The album cover is kept in red tones and shows Kool Savas, who looks down at the viewer and extends his two middle fingers. In the upper part of the picture are the white lettering Original Motion Picture Soundtrack and Kool Savas , while the title The John Bello Story is in white in the middle of the picture. In the lower part, the participating artists are also listed.

Participating artists

In addition to Kool Savas, the rappers Amar , Ercandize , Caput and Kaas (collectively referred to as Optik Army ) , who were under contract with his label Optik Records at the time, also appear on the mixtape . In addition, the American rappers Juelz Santana , Cam'ron and Mr. Man can each be heard on a song on the album. Other musicians involved are Jaeson, Dimi and Kool Savas' brother Sinan and the rap group Freunde der Sonne.

The mixtape entered the German album charts at number 17 on June 6, 2005 and was at number 35 in the following weeks; 37 and 42. In total, it stayed in the top 100 for 13 weeks. In Switzerland, too, the sound carrier was able to place itself on position 44 in the charts.

Mainly due to the previously published Disstracks The judgment against the rapper Eko Fresh is sold The John Bello Story about 60,000 times, making it the most commercially successful Deutschrap mixtape.
