The Best of Kool Savas is a compilation album by the German rapper Kool Savas . It was released on August 1, 2008 through his label Optik Records and Sony BMG .

The songs chosen for the album come from Kool Savas' two first solo albums The Best Day of My Life (five songs) and Dead or Alive (six pieces), as well as from the collab album One with Azad (four tracks), the remix album The Best Days are numbered (two tracks), the mixtape Die John Bello Story (two songs) and the label samplers Optik Mixtape Volume 1 (one song) and Optik Takeover! (three tracks). Individual pieces also come from albums by other artists on which Kool Savas had guest contributions. It also contains seven titles that were previously not found on any other sound carrier.

In addition to Kool Savas, many other artists appear on the album. The rapper Azad is represented five times and the singer Moe Mitchell has three guest appearances. The rappers Ercandize , Amar , Franky Kubrick and Caput , who were then under contract with Optik Records, can be heard several times as Optik Army on the album. The singer Valezka is represented on two songs and one guest contribution each comes from Lumidee , Creutzfeld & Jakob , Senna , J-Luv , Cory Gunz, Samy Deluxe , Xavier Naidoo , IGOR and MoTrip .

The Best of Kool Savas entered the German charts at number 34 on August 15, 2008 and was at number 54 in the following weeks; 71 and 94 before exiting the top 100. The album also reached position 51 and 29 in the charts in Austria and Switzerland.
