Brisk Fingaz (* 25. September 1980 in Hildesheim ; bourgeois Kai Aschemann ) is a German hip-hop - producer from Hannover .

Career

Brisk Fingaz was born in Hildesheim in the fall of 1980 under the name Kai Aschemann. He found access to the hip-hop subculture through graffiti . Musically he was initially shaped by Die Fantastischen Vier , whose work Jetzt geht's ab was his first album. Then DJ Premier became his role model. Later rappers like Mobb Deep , Wu-Tang Clan and Cypress Hill followed, as well as producers Havoc , Pete Rock , Just Blaze and The Alchemist . At the age of 16 Aschemann got to know DJ CSP, who taught him the basic techniques of DJing , whereupon he bought the digital audio workstation Samplitude Pro X for his own productions . He mainly works with samples that he gets from the progressive rock genre . Using a keyboard, he plays instruments such as bass, strings and guitars on the sample. Some studio musicians also support him. In 2001 he worked for the first time under the pseudonym Brisk Fingaz with the rapper Spax . After the remix EP Perspektiven und Relationen he contributed most of the instrumentals for Engel & Ratten . In the following, Brisk Fingaz increasingly began to produce for the albums of well-known rappers. So he participated in Back to the Wall by Franky Kubrick , The Left and Right Hand of God by Snaga & Pillath , Then and Now by Donato , The John Bello Story by Kool Savas and Palwolf by Pal One .

In March 2005, Brisk Fingaz's first producer album was released under the title Gegenwind on the Frankfurt label Starting Lineup Records . For this he had recorded songs with FR , Later One , Pillath , Beneluxus, Mr. Knight, EF-EL-OH, Noz, Egocentrik, ZM Jay Lord, Stress & Trauma, Saddam Syed, Faust, Maze and mnemonic. Subsequently, the mixtape Inner Conflicts was created together with Warheit- rapper Lunafrow , which was published in October 2005. As executive producer, he took over the mixing and mastering of Mr. Knight's album Save the World . This was followed by productions for Mittelweg by FR, Mein Moneyfest by Franky Kubrick, Insallah by Manuellsen , Deluxe from head to toe by Samy Deluxe , A question of honor by Snaga & Pillath, Ich bin German Hip-Hop by Sentino and Game Over by Azad . The latter signed the Hildesheimer at the end of 2006 with his label Bozz Music .

In the following two years Brisk Fingaz took part as a producer on numerous albums. So he worked on For the love of the game by Snaga & Pillath, City of God by Godsilla , Dirty Euros 2 by King Orgasmus One and Godsilla, Jack is back by Patrick on purpose , block letters by Azad, This is my world (you only live in it ) by Manuellsen, Towards the Sun by Casper , Real Music by Jonesmann , Under the Sun by Chakuza , Brainwashing by JokA , Caution, Level! from FR and Ein Mann, a word from massive with. In November 2008, Bozz Music released Brisk Fingaz's second album Einzelkäufer , on which Kool G Rap , Curse , Morlockk Dilemma , Griot , Damion Davis , Germany , Jeyz and Sera Finale are represented. The piece Schicksal , created in collaboration with Godsilla, was also implemented as a music video. After working with Azad on Azphalt Inferno and Assassin , Brisk Fingaz lost his artist contract when Bozz Music closed in late 2009.

As a freelance producer, Brisk Fingaz worked on Meine Zeit and Der Ghettotraum handcrafted by Massiv, Azzlack Stereotype of Arrest Warrant and The Last Day of Your Life by Farid Bang . In 2012 he received three platinum awards in France and one platinum award in Belgium for his work on the album À la poursuite du bonheur by French pop and R'n'B singer M. Pokora . He produced four pieces for the 2013 album Jung, brutal, gutaussehend 2 by the artists Kollegah and Farid Bang. With the songs Du Kennst Den Westen and Dissen Aus Prinzip , he was responsible for the background music for two singles. The album entered the album charts in Germany at number 1 with 80,000 units sold in the first week. The album also reached number 1 in the album charts in Austria and Switzerland. In Germany and Austria, Jung, brutal, gutaussehend 2 was each awarded a gold record .

With Nu Eta Da and Masta by Olexesh , Neue Deutsche Welle 2 and No one gets along with me from Fler , Mama from MoTrip and Leben II from Azad, he worked on other well-known German rap albums. From 2016, Brisk Fingaz worked again increasingly with the rapper Spax. The joint EP Private Performance was released in 2016 . A year later, the two hip-hop musicians published the project Truth . At the end of October 2018, the EP Vintage , distributed via recordJet , followed , which he recorded together with the British rapper KC Da Rookee .
